BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF SILICON HJT CELLS
Hetero Junction with Intrinsic Thin-Layer (short name as HJT or
HIT) solar cells are based on N-type silicon wafer,with two
different layers which are Silicon based film and TCO film, this is
the key for the HJT solar cell.
Ø 28.5% Theoretical efficiency,25.5% Massive production potential;
Ø A better P-N structure compared to normal solar cell;
Ø Optimized passivation structure, longer lifetime of minority carrier;
Ø Low Temp(250 dec)& Low Energy Consumption processing, suitable
for thinner wafer.
Tandem Cell is an update for the thin-film Cell industry:

HJT solar cell is a natural bifacial structure, which is much easier to be produced as a bifacial cell.
The bifacial structure also provides a more stable color. Same color of front and rear side.

Normal Silicon Module
• To ensure the absorption of light, wafer thickness cannot be
thinner than 180um.
• The wafer and Al-BSF(back surface field) with different co-
efficiency thickness can’t be changed, so micro-cracking
can happen.
• Defects happen when produced with thinner wafer under
800-900℃ .
HJT Module
• HJT cell can be produced with thin wafer, to save wafer
cost and reduce module price
• HJT cell processing temperature is lower than 250℃,
resulting in less cracks or defects
• The mature HJT technology is fine with 100um wafer
• Shingled and zero busbar technology can be applied
Application on both
PV projects and
mobile power.

High Reliability
There is no LID caused by the B-O effect and the
use of TCO film is the best anti-PID, ensuring
long-term durability and profitability.
Low attenuation rate
HJT solar cell attenuate 1%-2% in the first year, and then
attenuate 0.375% annually, which is much lower than
PERC's attenuation of 2% in the first year and 0.45% in
subsequent years.
HJT solar cell full life cycle per W is about 1.9%-2.9%
higher than the bifacial PERC solar cell.
Optimal LCOE
The most promising technology
for the reduction of the LCOE.
Weak light generates high power
HJT solar cell uses N-type monocrystalline silicon wafers,
while PERC solar cell uses P-type monocrystalline silicon
wafers.
HJT solar cell generates about 0.5-1.0% more electricity
per W than double-sided PERC cells.
93%-95% Bifacial Efficiency
Considering the 10%-20% backside irradiation and
the difference in the bifacial rate of the cell, the
power generation per watt of the HJT solar cell is
about 2%-4% higher than that of the bifacial PERC
cell.

HJT solar cell temperature coefficient -0.26%/℃,
about 0.13%/℃ advantage;
HJT's power generation per W is about 0.6~3.9%
higher than Bifacial PERC.

Certified HJT cell efficiency record 25.26% by Institut für
Solarenergieforschung in Hameln ( ISFH ) on 2nd July 2021, with
M6 size cell, Currently the world record.
The R&D team of Huasun in only a few months after the start of
production improved the HJT solar cell efficiency. Including several
major milestone being achieved in the development of N-type
heterojunction cell technology.
The next stage of cell efficiency improvement is to introduce doped
microcrystalline silicon or doped microcrystalline oxidation
(carbonization) silicon instead of the current technology, to improve
the doping density, light performance, meanwhile reducing the
doping layer resistance, and finally increase the current density of
HJT solar cell.

HJT Module • HJT cell can be produced with thin wafer, to save wafer cost and reduce module price • HJT cell processing temperature is lower than 250℃, resulting in less cracks or defects • The mature HJT technology is fine with 100um wafer • Shingled and zero busbar technology can be applied Application on both PV projects and mobile power. ADVANTAGES OF HJT TECHNOLOGY 5-Thinner Wafer Ensures Lower Cost,More Applications
