Howard Earl Gardner is an American
developmental psychologist .he was
born 11 July 1943.Gardner has
written hundreds of research articles
and thirty books that have been
translated into more than thirty
languages. He is best known for his
theory of multiple intelligences
3. WHAT IS INTELLIGENCE
• In general, intelligence is a basic ability
that exists in all individuals. It has been
defined many different ways including
abstract thought understanding, self
awareness communication ,learning
problem solving etc.
4. INTRODUCTION
• Multiple intelligence theory was developed
by Howard gardnar these theory published
in a book , frames of mind:-the theory of
multiple intelligence 1983 . He said that if
somebody lacking one intelligence the
individual may be good in in another
intelligence or skill
6. LINGUISTIC INTELLIGENCE
• These children have very strong knowledge
of words, language, and writing. The
people with this intelligence use word and
language efficiently. In Future children with
this intelligence could be teacher , writer.
7. LOGICAL -MATHEMATICAL INTELLIGENCE
• The person with this intelligence has very
strong knowledge of mathematics problem
, analysis skill, reasoning. They become
banker scientist, computer programmer etc.
8. SPATIAL INTELLIGENCE
• The people who have this intelligence are
strong in visualising thing . This people are
good in understanding map, direction,
pictures. They could become engineer ,
artist, architect etc.
9. BODILY KINETIC INTELLIGENCE
• The person with this intelligence can use their
body parts and whole body very efficiently.they
could become body-builder, actor, sergeons,
athelete etc.
10. MUSICAL INTELLIGENCE
• These people have knowledge about music and
rhythm; they can understand notes musics and
sounds relationship between feelings and
sounds.they because music director , composer.
11. INTER-PERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
• These people can socialize and interact very
easily with the others. They can understand
other feelings and emotions. They become
counsellor , leader , politician etc.
12. INTRA-PERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
• Capacity to be self-aware and in tune with inner
feelings, values, beliefs and thinking
processes.Researchers, theorists, philosophers.
13. NATURALISTIC INTELLIGENCE
• Ability to recognize and categorize plants,
animals and other objects in nature. They
become biologist, farmers , gardener etc .
15. CONCLUSION
• Gardner's theory teaches that teachers should
not teach the same material to the entire class
rather individualize instruction by identifying
students' strengths and weaknesses. One way
of identifying students' strengths and
weaknesses is to offer a multiple intelligence
assessment
