6. Lesson Objectives:
a. Illustrates the permutation of objects.
b. List the possible ways certain task or activity can
be done
c. Appreciate permutations as vital part of one’s life.
7. Call Me!!!
*The class will be divided into four groups ( 4 ).
*Each group will be allowed to use 4 cell phones which will be used in the
activity.
*The contact numbers will be written in a piece of paper.
*One member will be assigned as writer of the picked number on the board,
and one to dial / contact the number written on the board.
*The fastest group to contact 3 numbers will be the winner of the game and
will earn an additional of 3 points in the assessment of the day.
Activity
1
8. For you to contact a specific cell
phone number, why is it
important to enter/dial the
numbers correctly?
9. Permutation
Permutation is an arrangement of all or parts of
a set of objects with proper regard to order.
Permutations can be determined by listing,
using table, tree diagramming, and by using the
Fundamental Counting Principle. FCP is used to
calculate the total number of permutations in a given
situation.
10. Is order or arrangement
important?
Tell whether order or arrangement in the
situations below is important. Show a happy face
if order or arrangement is important while sad
face if order is not important. You may use your
cell phone or any gadget that you have with you.
Activity

11. 1.Ten players from different municipalities (San Juan, San Jose, Taysan, Padre
Garcia, Ibaan, Rosario, Calaca, Lemery, Balayan, Lian) joined the badminton
tournament in the Division Meet 2023 held at Balayan, Batangas. In how many
possible ways can they be arranged as first, second and third placers?
2. In how many ways can Allijah arrange 5 potted plants in a row?
3. Picking six (6) balls from a basket of 12 balls.
4. Suppose that in a certain association, there are 12 elected members of the
Board of Directors. In how many ways can a President, Vice-President, Secretary
and a Treasurer be selected from the Board?
5. In a 10-item pen and paper problem solving test, how many ways can you select
5 problems to solve?
Order is
important
Order is not
important
13. Permutation or not?
Tell whether the situation illustrates permutation or not.
1. Determining the top three winners in a Mathematics Quiz
Bee.
2. Choosing five group mates for your Mathematics project.
3. Three people posing for a picture.
4. Assigning 4 practice teachers to 4 different grade levels.
5. Picking 2 questions from a bowl.
Activity 3
14. Illustration Time
Show the possible ways the activity can be done as permutation of
objects. You may use Table, Listing, Tree Digram or FCP.

Minsan mahihirapan ka at masasabing di ko makakaya
Tumingin ka lang sa langit baka sakaling may masumpungan
O di kaya ako'y tawagin malalaman mong kahit kailan

Sa mundo ng kawalan
Hawak-kamay di kita iiwan sa paglakbay

19. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped
up over the edge of the well and trotted off!
One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The
animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to
figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was
old and the well needed to be covered up anyway it just
wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and
cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted
down.
Never to Give Up
20. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down
the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every
shovel of dirt that fell on his back, the donkey was doing
something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step
up. As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on
top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step
up.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and begin to shovel dirt into the
well.
