• Lead engineer for the Optical Kerf Design team, providing leadership and project scheduling for implementing
changes/improvements.
• Liaison between Optical Kerf, wafer manufacturing, technical development and reticle manufacturing teams.
• Developed method for locating models for physical measurement, increasing throughput by decreasing tool
recipe development and rework.
• Automated home site locator for in-line electrical test sector which reduced recipe creation time, rework and
scrap and increased production throughput and yield and eliminated the need to buy a new tool.
Reticle Quality Engineer 2005 - 2008
• Lead engineer for Mask Quality Team, providing leadership and mentoring for technicians in all aspects of
mask quality control.
• Work with Characterization, Failure Analysis, Mask House and assortment of fab engineering personnel to
react to and find root cause of mask repeaters.
• Updated written procedures as needed to reflect changing environment.
• Developed new reticle inspection schedule to reduce needed inspections while maintaining reticle quality.
• Eliminated repeater/fail checks on manufacturing wafer lots, decreasing cycle time by 1300 hours/month.
• Reduced (by 80%) the number of checkerboard/reticle quality checks required for new reticle qualification,
saving labor and money used in the process.
• Reduced FM induced repeaters (90%) and resulting wafer scrap (85%) using PDCA process.
• Reduced pellicle damage (80%) due to manual handling saving the fab up to $23,000 / month in reticle repairs.
Failure Analysis Engineer – Program Management Interface .13 micron technologies 2000 – 2005
• Initiated overhaul of web-based failure analysis submittal database to enhance customer data input.
• Liaison between failure analysis department and process, characterization and integration engineering teams.
