2. Planning and Organizing of
Instruction
Planning is the key to teachers
being well-prepared before
walking into the classroom.
3. TEACHING
is a complex activity that involves
careful preparation and planned
objectives and activities on an
hourly, daily, and weekly basis.
4. TEACHING
In order to make learning the
central focus of classroom activity
there must be effective planning
and organization of instruction.
5. PLANNING & ORGANIZATION
This will not only guide the
teacher but it also comes across
clearly to students so they will be
able to identify what is to be
learned.
6. TEACHERS
An effective teacher have
consistent and organized
classroom first & foremost since
it is the central of teaching and
learning.
7. Time is one of the most challenging factor for a
teacher to achieve curricular goals…
70% of their time on core curriculum
30% is spent on such tasks as:
- enforcing classroom rules and procedures
- participating in school meetings and
assemblies
- training some students / participation in
some school competitions
Use of time can be optimized in the classroom
instruction by careful planning and organization.
8. Make sure to include in your planning the
warm-up activities that you are going to do.
A teacher who uses a warm-up activity
accomplishes the following purposes:
Gives students a way to constructively use their
time.
Prepares students for the day's activities.
Gives themself time to take attendance.
Makes use of time that would have otherwise
been lost.
Provides a focus for the first few minutes of
class that can be an intro. into the day's lesson.
9. Highly recommended when planning and
organizing instruction:
~ Identifying clear lesson and learning
objectives.
~ Creating quality assignments.
~ Planning lessons that have clear goals.
~ Planning the instructional strategies.
~ Using outlines for instructional delivery.
10. Highly recommended when planning and
organizing instruction:
~ Considering student attention spans and
learning styles when designing lessons.
~ Developing objectives, questions, and
activities that reflect higher-level & lower-
level cognitive skills for the students.
11. "Deliberate planning maximizes the
amount of content a teacher is able to
cover."
Exposing them to content that is
planned and organized gives the
motivation and skills to achieve.
