Health fairs help educate employees on wellness tips and encourage
them to take steps toward preventive (and sometimes diagnostic)
care.
A health fair doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. Just some
coordinating…

Networking with the city is a great way to start:
– First Responders:
• Fire Department (bring materials),
• local ambulance service
• C.E.R.T (they are a nationwide program)
– Chamber of Commerce:
• Provided listing of businesses in area
• Connect with their HR person
• Request free product!
– City Hall:
• did they host an event for the community?
• who did they invite? We also invite the mayor for good measure
(this year the city is covering street signs for our event!)

To drum up excitement with our employee group, we distribute:
– Windshield flyers at 6 weeks before the event
– Postcard attached to their paycheck at 4 week before event
– Electronic announcements start running daily at 2 weeks before event
– Sign up sheets for Flu Shot clinic and Biometric Screenings go up 7 days
before event
– Of course…word of mouth! We attempt to mention it every time there is
employee interaction
The day of event:
– Employee checks in & receives:
• Raffle card
• Bag
• Fruit/snack of choice, yogurt & water
bottle
– Encouraged to visit booths & collect stamps
for their raffle card
– At end of event, we hold
raffle and announce winners
on electronic board

…should walk away with a renowned sense of wellness and
hopefully a re-commitment to a healthy lifestyle (plus lots of
goodies!)
Kaiser = wellness calendars for upcoming year, pencils
Dentists = toothbrushes, floss, travel toothpaste
Optometrists = lens cleansers, lens wipes
Chiropractors = provided mini massages
Hand sanitizers, pedometers, stress balls, bandage holders,
educational pamphlets (Eng & Span) and lots more!
All vendors participating in Health Fair are asked to bring a raffle prize.
