This document describes a smart irrigation and moisture monitoring system project presented by four students at Bhagalpur College of Engineering. The system uses a soil moisture sensor and Arduino microcontroller to automate irrigation. When the soil moisture drops below 50%, the microcontroller activates a relay to turn on a water pump. This allows irrigation only when needed, conserving water resources. The system aims to provide an efficient, low-cost solution to automate irrigation given depleting water resources and uneven water availability in India.
