Job Title: Sr.Construction Engineer (Head Civil) (December-2004-Till date)
General Responsibilities
1. Define scope of work for projects; review design proposals; conduct preconstruction meetings; meet with
engineers, other agencies and other departments to resolve problems pertaining to design.
2. Meets construction budget by exercising strict control over project cost, schedules and expenditures, checks
and authorizes all claims for payment from all sub-contractors involved in the project to assure accuracy and
that proper contractual obligations are met, verify incoming invoices for payment.
3. Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling,
coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees working in the construction area, communicates job
expectations to the employees; plans, monitors, appraises job contributions, recommends compensation
actions to the Project Implementation Manager.
4. Reviews critical design drawings of the project before passing them for use to the Superintendent or Site
Supervisor, directs and supervises project engineers in the performance of all aspects of their work, reviews
all Work Instructions before they are approved by the Project Manager.

contractors, evaluates milestone assumptions and conclusions.

approves/rejects work packages, submitted by project engineers) at each stage of the work to ensure proper

HSE Responsibilities (NEBOSH IGC -UK Qualified)
1. MOL Group HSE management system compliance.
2. Ensure day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely in order to increase plant profit, enhance
plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.
3. Supervise the development, implementation, coordination and monitoring of scheduled turnaround plans to
ensure engineering requirements and operational objectives are being met while utilizing all resources in the
most timely and cost effective manner possible.
4. Lead the execution of planned and unplanned unit shutdowns including job plans and critical path schedule
development, and tracking and closeout activities.
5. Supervise all aspects of turnarounds and major shutdowns, and ensure compliance to quality, environment and
all health and safety aspects.
6. Coordinate with maintenance and operations division for the development of work priorities, identification of
required resources, assigning roles and responsibilities, agreeing on schedules and development of estimated
budgets and expected outcomes.
7. Participate and review of Task Risk Assessment (TRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to start of each jobs.

inspection activities in accordance with the Project Quality plan and ISO, ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, IBC and other
BS Standards.
2. Preparing and attending all preparatory and follow-up meetings, coordination meetings, conducting
third party inspections. To prepare the ITP for the projects according the project scope.
3. Establishing site laboratory, concrete batching plant, performing calibration of the equipments and
scale, and managing operations of site laboratory and the batching plant in accordance with the quality
requirements.
4. Conducting material tests, concrete cube testing etc at site laboratory in witness with the independent
laboratory.
5. Implementing Quality management system on the projects as per the project specifications and the
requirements, through RFI, IR, MR, SO, NCR etc.
6. Assisting in developing Quality control plans and obtaining approvals from client representative
7. Conducting all QC site inspections through RFI and closing the RFI and maintaining the log and issuing
the records
8. Assisting in preparing and implementing Inspection Test plans and test procedures on projects as per the

Job Duties Working as a site civil engineer in the leading organization of OGDCL in the Construction of big LPG
plant Processing Facility at Chanda Oil Field.
1. Review the contract documents (drawings and specification related to his discipline) and advises the
Construction Manager of any deficiency.
2. Review Contractor's submittals, related to his discipline, and ensure its compliance with concept design,
contract requirements and properly coordinated with other disciplines.
3. Review shop drawings, related to his discipline, and ensure its compliance with design requirements,

schedules.
4. Regular visits to Project site to ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, good
