Bethuel Pakalitha Mosisili is a prominent Lesotho politician who served as Prime Minister of Lesotho for over 15 years non-consecutively. He began his political career in the LCD party in 1993 and later became its leader in 1998. As Prime Minister, Mosisili introduced free primary education and pensions for elderly Basotho. He led several governments until stepping down in 2020 after losing an election. Mosisili made significant contributions to Lesotho but also faced criticism for his handling of political disputes.
