1. NTPC Unchar Boiler Accident and Reasonand My Condolence
NTPC boiler blast: How the horrific accident unfolded at Unchahar plant Sece of event :
1. Bottom ash handling malfunctioning since last 2 days.
2. Huge build up of bottom ash inside boiler upto 16 m elevation.
3. NTPC does not stop unit hoping it can be cleared manually duringboiler running condition.
4. Open furnace manhole doors (both left and right side) at 10 m level.
5. Engage workers to poke collected clinkers (molten ash) to directsame towards bottom ash hopper so that same can be
cleared throughhopper bottom.
6. Suddenly the huge mass of clinker falls down. Water of hopper getsvaporised. Huge pressure get developed. 7.
Waterwall at corner 2 getscracked at fins and widened from 20 m toS panel (bottom arch portion furnace). No tube
failure.
8. At the same time unburnt / semi burnt coal gets carried over to 2ndpass due to furnace pressurisation. This creates
explosion inEconomiser. Economiser hopper gets blown away.
9. Due to furnace pressurisation Hot Slag (clinker) comes out throughmanhole door. NTPC personnel and workers
supervising the clinkerremoval job got severely injured.
10. At the same personnel working in the vicinity of boiler gotaffected by released hot flue gase and ash.

12. Copper Cladded Conductor For Electrical
Installation
The Copper Clad Steel Grounding Conductor is made up of steel with the coating of 99.99% pure copper. These
conductors/ wires
or strands are equipped with the strength of steel with the conductivity and copper with the better corrosion
