The early growth of social movements was connected to broad economic and
political changes in England in the mid-18th century, including political
representation, market capitalization, and proletarianization. The first mass social
movement catalyzed around the controversial political figure John Wilkes.
Introduction:
Social developments are purposeful, sorted out gatherings, either to push toward
change, give a political voice to those without it, or get-together for some other
normal reason. Social developments meet with natural changes, mechanical
advancements, and other outer components to make social change. There is a heap
of impetuses that make social developments, and the reasons that individuals join is
as varied as the members themselves.

3. Women Movements:
The first women’s rights convention was held in Seneca Falls, New
York (now known as the Seneca Falls Convention) from July 19-20, 1848, and
advertised itself as “a convention to discuss the social, civil, and religious condition
and rights of woman”
Women or feminist movements are held where the violations of women’s rights
occur like no rights for a job, educations, no rights to speak, rights to use services
like that. Due to violations of these rights women movements held in once country.
In Pakistan women’s movements also happen every 8th
March.
Since 2018, Aurat March –(Urdu) forWomen's March - has been held in many cities
across Pakistan to coincide with International Women's Day on 8 March. It is no
small feat in a conservative Muslim country where many women often do not feel
safe in public places because of the harassment they often endure
The feminist movement (also known as the women’s liberation movement, the
women’s movement, or simply feminism) refers to a series of political campaigns
for reforms on issues, for example, conceptive rights, aggressive behaviour at home,
maternity leave, equivalent compensation, ladies' testimonial, inappropriate
behaviour, and sexual brutality, all of which fall under the mark of women's
liberation and the women's activist development.
4. Ecology Movement:
The environmental movement (sometimes called an Ecology
Movement), is A diverse philosophical, social, and political movement for
addressing environmental issues. Environmentalists advocate the sustainable
management of resources and stewardship of the environment through changes in
public policy and individual behavior. This movement is all about the issues of the
environment that the people faced. As we all know as Pakistani, we are facing
several environmental issues in our societies or country. Like water, Air. etc.
Recently the Prime Minister of Pakistan started a campaign of clean and green
Pakistan. In which he set the target to grow at least 10 billion trees to resolve the
environmental issues of Pakistan. He started the movement that every Pakistani
should grow at least 10 plants for the sake of its country. It not only includes the
health issues it includes all types ofissues that the people face into their environment
like property issues and justice rights. etc. It also includes the movements against
the killing of the innocent animal without any cause.
Gender Rights (LGBT) Movement:
In 1924, Henry Gerber, a German immigrant, founded in Chicago the
Society forHuman Rights, the first documented gay rights organization in the United
States. During his U.S. Army service in World WarI, Gerber was inspired to create
his organization by the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee, a “homosexual
emancipation” group in Germany.

movements that advocate for LGBT people in society. Social movements may focus

focus on liberation, as in the gay liberation movement of the 1960s and 1970
Gender movements in a country come across due to violation of cross-genderrights
(Guy) or the other normal gender rights. These peopleare also a part of oursocieties.
we should give them an equal right to us. Like the equal rights for the jobs or the
equal rights of life as we all are living in our houses. Wherever the violation of their
rights occurs they comeacross the world and stared their movements for their rights
to survive in a once country.
Peace movements:
A peace movement is a social movement that seeks to achieve ideals such as the
ending of a particular war (or all wars), minimize inter-human violence in a
particular place or typeof situation, and is often linked to the goal ofachieving world
peace.
Peacemovements comeacross whenever the violation ofpeacein a country occur
like innocent killing people, brutality, injustice, violation of living rights happened.
then these movements come across in a country.
Kashmir, Sham and philistine issues are one of the biggest peaceviolation issues
countries. Where the violation of peace occurs like the killing of the people, man,
women, children. Instead of having the united nation of the organization they cannot
solving the issues of these violations. So, these can live a normal life we are living
in our homes, but no one cares about them.
6. Black lives Matter:
In the current era, the matter of black lives getting verse in America. Due to the
killing of black men in America. Because the American compares black people to
the white people and they never like to them an equal right as they are giving to the
white man. Like right for the job, right for the business, right for justice. etc.
Health Movements:
Health movements or campaigns Come across to create awareness about the
various diseases. People's Health Movement (PHM) is a global network of
grassroots health activists, civil society organizations and academic institutions,
particularly from developing countries. PHM works towards the revitalization of
Primary Health Care (PHC), as described in the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1978.
Like in Pakistan some heath related movements are like awareness about calcium,
about T.B, about burst cancer, blood donations and liver issues. It helped us to how
to cope and protect yourself from the exiting diseases.
