This document provides instructions for an activity where participants will interview a partner to learn their personal story, focusing on topics like their background, reasons for attending their school, and how policy issues like tuition costs affect them. Participants will then share their partner's story with their table and some will volunteer to share with the whole group. The goal is to help people connect through sharing life experiences and understand different perspectives.

2. Stories Are All Around Us!
1) What was the last story you heard or saw on
social media/TV that connected with you?
2) Why did you connect with that story?
3) What were the values communicated in that
story?

5. Story Development Instructions:
1) Pair up with someone you have not talked to
in the last month.
2) You will have 10 minutes each to interview
your partner. Be sure to take notes so you
can effectively share their story with the
group.
3) Sample questions to ask your partner:
• Where did you grow up?
• Why did you decide to attend a community and
technical college?
• Why did you choose to attend the college you are
at now?
• Do you have a job? How do you balance work and
school?
• How would a 1% tuition cut impact your life?
• Have you ever taken a developmental education
