Evaluation of our media product

2. Garage Band
We used garage band to record the soundtrack for our teaser trailer. Our Soundtrack is unique as we designed it
ourselves with repeated instruments and beats.
We had a steady beat to work off, with a simple beat, we figured a way to work around it with other instruments.
The other instruments we used in our trailer where already on garage band, which was very useful to us as the
making of the beat was time consuming as it was. We had the idea of using guitars as the main instrument of
the soundtrack, we got this idea from Oceans 11. We also got the idea of using the VIP beat and African Rain
Caxxi beat from Oceans 11 as it sets a more subtle tone to the film, whereas the guitar links to the films idea of a
heist in action and the action side of the film.

3. Final Cut Pro
We used final cut pro to edit our teaser trailer
together. This application was useful in putting
transitions, titles and merging clips together in
our trailer.
Final cut pro is an advanced film application
which helps you put recordings together in
order to make a film/teaser trailer.
It was a useful app to use as we could also add
the soundtrack we used from garageband to
play over our dialogue.

4. Illustrator
We thought illustrator was useful in our trailer as we used it to design
our company ident. The illustrator app was useful in the font of text
and how they were broadcasted on the logo.
We also used illustrator for our poster. This is from the fonts used in the
poster and also the catch line under the title.
Furthermore, we also used illustrator in our magazine cover to truly
cover the idea of a magazine. This is from the way the magazine
companies tried to promote.

5. Photoshop
Photoshop was fairly useful in
our project. We used it the
most in our poster as we had to
design a unique background
blueprint. Furthermore, we
added the background with our
cropped out characters and
added the titles designed in
illustrator.
Photoshop was also used in our
magazine cover to place the
texts and images together.

6. Camera
Our camera was of a high quality and very useful in our making of the
trailer. The Canon 80D was an upgrade from last years camera so we
took this as our advantage. The camera was useful in recording all the
footage for our film.
We took the footage from the camera and downloaded them onto final
cut Pro. The filters and lighting where able to be adjusted, however we
got most of our shots in perfect lighting and positionings.
