2. TITLE
“RFID AND GSM BASED AUTOMATIC
RATION DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM USING
ARM PROCESSOR ”
4. ABSTRACT
• A Ration Card is a document issued under an order or authority
of the State Government, as per the Public Distribution System
• Here instead of a Ration card, a Smart Ration card will be used
for the purpose of authorizing and subsequently the person’s
identity will be matched for authentication.
• RFID is a part of Automatic Identification and Data Capture
(AIDC) technologies and is fast and reliable means of
identifying objects.
• this system provides the materials automatically without help
of humans.
6. MICROCONTROLLER CIRCUIT –LPC2148
Features
• LPC2148 is manufactured by NXP Semiconductor (Phillips) and
it is preloaded with many in-built features and peripherals.
This makes it more efficient and reliable choice for an high-end
application developer.
• LPC2148 has 32kB on chip SRAM and 512kB on chip FLASH
memory. This chip has built in support up to 2kB end point USB
RAM.
• LPC2148 provides 32kB of static RAM which may be used
for code and/or data storage. It may be accessed as 8-bit,
7. RFID CIRCUIT
• RFID STANDS FOR…. RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION
RFID CIRCUIT CONSISTS OF
A) An RFID Tag
B) An RFID Reader
RFID tag is a small device which stores and sends data to RFID reader.
An RFID Tag are made of :-
1) Chip :- Hold information about physical object
2) Antenna :-Transmit signal at radio frequency
3) Package :-encase chips and antenna so that tag can be attached to physical
object
RFID tags are categorized in two types:
• Active tag
• Passive tag
8. AN RFID READER
THE RFID READER CONTAINS.......
• Antenna :-Transmit signal at radio frequency
• Chip :- Hold information about physical object
10. GSM STANDS FOR ……
GLOBAL SYSTEM FOR MOBILE
COMMUNICATION
• GSM (Global System for Mobile
communications) is an open,
digital cellular technology used
for transmitting mobile voice
and data services.
• GSM supports voice calls and
data transfer speeds of up to
9.6 kbps, together with the
transmission of SMS (Short
Message Service).
11. LCD DISPLAY CIRCUIT
• Liquid-Crystal Display
• LCDs are super-thin displays that are used in laptop computer
screens and flat panel monitors.
12. POWER SUPPLY
• A power supply is an electronic device
that supplies electric energy to
an electrical load.
13. RELAY CIRCUIT
• Relays are
electromechanical
devices that use an
electromagnet to
operate a pair of
movable contacts from
an open position to a
closed position.
14. SOFTWARE USED
• In the project the software requirements are as follows:
• Software Package : KEIL VISION
• Language for Development : EMBEDDED C
16. APPLICATIONS
• The ration items will be effectively delivered to the valid ration
card holders who are below poverty line.
• The main advantage here is that the beneficiaries get their
rightful entitlement in terms of quantity. What's meant for them
cannot be diverted to the open market because of maintaining
the database correctly.
• The government services are reached to poor people effectively
and also the corruption in PDS and FPS can be reduced or
avoided to a great extent.
17. ADVANTAGES
1) Avoid people from being cheated:
2) People can get their ration at their convenient timings
3) Completely automated system
4) Elimination of duplicate and bogus ration cards
5) Increased adulteration in consumes can be prevented
6) This system helps to maintain the data properly
7) This system is very accurate, simple and low power consumption,
which is
used for real time application
8) Bring Transparent
18. DISADVANTAGES
• LOST OF USER TAG CAN BE USED BY UNAUTHORIZED PERSON
• IN CASE OF POWER FAILURE……WE NEED TO USE AN ALTERNATE
POWER SOURCE
20. CONCLUSION
• In this new modern system the use of man power is reduced
and also the dealer will not be able to keep fake ration cards
with them system helps to modernize traditional rationing and
combat corruption up to great extent.
