Job Descriptions
Department Manager
Plan, direct, or coordinate the storage or distribution operations within the organization
or the activities of organizations that are engaged in storing or distributing materials or
products. Have knowledge of administration and management, customer and personal service.
And some production and processing knowledge of raw materials, production processes,
quality and costs. Requires standing for what may be long periods of time. Have responsibility
for others.
Education and Experience
Associates degree in Business Management or a related field
5 years or more experience
Skills
o Being able to understand information, and able to communicate information to
other workers, both written and oral. And understanding written sentences and
paragraphs
o Having some level of knowledge of equipment maintenance. Using logic and
reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and
approaches to problems.
o Coordination, monitoring, negotiation and instructing others. Judgement and
decision making skills. Management of personnel and material resources and
time management.
o Use and ability to us spreadsheets, internet, word processing and databases.
o Management of how money will be spent to get the work done. Obtaining and
seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to
do work. Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work. Managing
one’s own time and the time of others.
o Conducting tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate
quality or performance.
o Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the
most appropriate one.
Floor Supervisor
Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of laborers and material movers.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Knowledge of
principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Knowledge of raw
materials, production processes, quality control, cost and other techniques for maximizing the
effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
5 or more years with experience within the company or another related area
Or 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
Skills
o Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem
solving and decision making. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
o Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the
situation when learning or teaching new things.

points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at
inappropriate times.
o Talking to others convey information effectively. Understanding written sentences and
paragraphs in work related documents.

take corrective action.
o Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions.

o Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of
maintenance is needed.

Forklift Operators
Responsible for operating forklifts to move materials around warehouse, storage yard,
or similar location. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and stragies to
promote effective local, state, or national security operations for protection of people, data,
property, institutions. Load shipments, belongings or materials.
Education or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Short-term on the job training
Forklift Certification
Skills

o Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
o Performing routine maintenance on equipment, determining when and what kind of
maintenance is needed.
o Managing one’s own time
o The ability to see details at a distance.
o The ability to quickly move your hand, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate or
assemble objects

o May be load or uncomfortable noise
Shippers
Manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor.
Includes all manual laborers not elsewhere classified. Must be able to determine what kind of
tools and equipment are need to do the job. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to
determine work assignments or martial or equipment needs.
Education and Experience
Less than high school
Short-term on the job training.

details of complaints.

Customer Service Representative: Teamincentives
1. Every six months a $550 bonus will be awarded to those that meet the quota. To qualify
for the bonus each customer service representative will need to get 20 current
customers to add product or service to their current accounts. While maintaining five
star call service.
2. Employees will be told about this new program at the next employee meeting and by
email. Example sales pitches and how to upsell will be given at the meeting if
employees have questions about how to approach customers.
3. Every time a representative gets a customer to add to their account will than fill out a
form and the form will be handed into the manager and filled every day to keep track of
who has gotten customers to add to accounts.
4. Validity will be ensured by keeping records up to date and stored correctly.
