ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of participatory methods in teaching
history subject at secondary school level. This study can be conducted in Arusha Municipality
with the aim of determining the impact of participatory method in teaching and learning process
in different secondary school so as to give the possible judgment and to provide the possible
method for teaching subject particularly history subject . The methods of data collection will be
interview, questionnaire and observation which will involve sixty (60) respondents’ hence fifty
four (48) students, six (8) teachers and three (4) head of school. More over the data study
collected can be organized both through quantitative and qualitative methods then analysis
comes out with the correct results and the recommendation from the study
