10. Physical Hazard
Corrosive
Flammable
Gas under pressure.
Oxidising
Explosive
Physical hazard causes injury to the worker when it comes in contact
with the worker. They are as follows:-
11. Chemical Hazard
A chemical hazard is simply the risks involved with using a
chemical.
In the workplace chemical hazards can be Health hazards- where
workers and other personnel are exposed to hazardous chemicals
through inhalation, absorption, through the skin, or ingestion.

14. Fire Hazard
Fire hazard at workplace is anything that may create fire.
Fire hazard come into three categories:-
b) Sources of Fuel
a) Sources of ignition/heat
c) Sources of Oxygen
15. Safety Equipment
Two types of Safety Equipment's are used:-
Personal Protective Equipment Fire Protective Equipment
16. Personal Protective Equipment
PPE includes equipment which is used by person at workplace
which protect him from accident.
a) Head Protection
b) Hearing Protection
c) Eye Protection
d) Protection of Hands
e) Protection of Foot
f) Safety Clothes
17. Head Protection
Head protection is particularly important for employees working
in environments such as construction because of the increased
risk of injury as a result of falls, accidents and handling heavy
materials or machinery.
HELMET
18. Hearing Protection
Hearing protection devices reduce the noise energy reaching
and causing damage to the inner ear. Ear muffs and earplugs
are the most common types of PPE.
19. Eye Protection
There are four primary types of eye protection including
general safety glasses, laser safety glasses, chemical
splash goggles and impact goggles. Full face protection is
achieved by wearing face shields.
20. Protection of Hands
Hand protection is saving one's hands from any sort of injury
at work.Very often, hands are exposed to hazardous conditions
such as sharp edges, pinch points, rotary machinery, hot
objects, electricity, splinters and chemicals etc.
21. Protection of Foot
Foot protection is any piece of personal protective equipment
protecting one's foot from any injury while at work or during
movement.
22. Safety Clothes
Safety Clothes protects its user against any physical harm or
hazards that the workplace environment may present.
23. Fire Protective Equipment
To eliminate hazard caused due to fire , Fire Protective
Equipment are used:-
a) Fire Extinguisher.
b) Fire Exit door.
c) Fire alarm.
d) Sand bucket.
24. Fire Extinguisher.
A fire extinguisher is an active fire protection device used to
extinguish or control small fires, often in emergency situations.
25. Fire Exit door
The purpose of the fire exit door is to allow a quick and
