1. Script
Leeds United, One of the most famous football clubs in England. They where once
the greatest team in Europe. They have been the laughing stock of football since
they went into financial administration and got relegated into league 1. They
where stuck in there for 3 years until in 2009/10 season we got promoted into
the championship. We have been in the championship since. But now since
Bielsa has come in charge it is giving Leeds hope to get back where they belong.
But the one thing that has been with Leeds through to good times and the bad
time. And that is the fan’s.
This season is the centennial season, which means Leeds united have been
around for 100 years. It was founded in 1919. They where once called Leeds City
and that was created in 1904 but they where forcefully had to sell their players
during WW1. So as a result Leeds united was formed and in 1920 they where
elected into the football league and in 1924 they won there first title and
promoted to the first division. Even back then in the 1920-30s we had avid
supporters. And from then on Leeds united fans as you know where born.
Leeds supporters are central to the club and it’s history. They are some of the
most amazing and devoted fans in Britain. This can be experienced on match day
at Elland Road, when the fans create the atmosphere. We have one of the highest
away attendances in the Championship, often out singing the home supporters. A
club is nothing without it’s fan base, and this is never more apparent than with a
club like Leeds United.
To celebrate this centenary season, I want to know is why people became Leeds
fans, how long they have been fans for and what is there greatest memory of
being a Leeds fan.

Finally I would like to talk about how much power Leeds fans have in this club.
And me personally I think we do and there are two strong points to back it up.
The first on was the new badge. When the new badge was announced there was
an uproar, everyone was slating saying how bad it looked and saying how much
it looked like a PES badge, so what Leeds fans did and what they are good at is
that they went on social media and tweeting at Leeds themselves saying how bad
the badge is and after a couple of days they scraped the idea. And the other one
was the signing of Marcelo Bielsa. One of the Main reasons why Bielsa joined this
historic club was because of the fans he said on of the min reasons why he can
here was because of the fans because he said that they are as crazy as he is so it
was a perfect match. And Bielsa himself said in the pre match conference against
Millwall that the Leeds fans are one of the most influential fans.
