4. How this problems affects the teaching-
learning process?
■ The effects that this kind of problems
have on the members of the families
are: negative emotions ( anger,
sadness, depression, anxiety), stress,
feeling isolated, difficulties in eating
and in sleeping properly, difficulties in
concentrating at school or work, not
enjoying normal activities or hobbies,
problems in other personal friendships (
friends, colleagues, boss) using
substances to escape from the
situation (Lifeline).
6. What is school?
■ This is the second place where the children and teenegers learn about live, values, and world.
There, they make friends and they listen and learn about others thoughs.
■ Most countries have systems of formal education which is commonly compulsory. In these
systems, students progress through a series of schools.
7. Children labor
■ The right to education for children and adolescents around the world and in our country is
determined in constitutions and in the principles and goals set in the international agreements.
■ Child and adolescent labor means that they have an employment in any work that deprives children
and adolescents of their own normal development processes; that it does not permit they go to
school regularly, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and
harmful (Wikipedia,Wikipedia).
■ On this unit, we will study about the relation between work and study in children and adolescents in
Ecuador and how work can affect their learning process and academic achievement.
8. How they affects the teaching-learning
processes?
■ Well, whe we talk about children working in the streets to provide food to their homes.
We are talking about they cannot study at all.They family depend of them and when
they are working they canot make their dreams real. So It is important to mention that
the childrens’ labor is a big problema that affects the teenegers future.
