Profile
• My intention is to appeal to a mainstream audience of 16–25-year-old women
who want to be emotionally engaged.
• Topics popular with this group include:
• Social media
• Fashion
• Celebrity
• Travel
• There are roughly 150,000 16–25-year-old women in the UK.
• According to the ONS, the 16-24 age group takes the most leisure time out of
those not in retirement (6 hours per day). However, women in that age group
took an average of 59 minutes less than men.
• My intended audience would be readers of other real-life and lifestyle titles
like, Grazia, Cosmopolitan and Vogue.
• They have some disposable income and choose to spend it on clothing, beauty
and entertainment products.
• Most of them belong in the C2DE section of the NRS social grades but are
aspirational and career driven.
• They care about current social and political issues such as; climate change,
racism and gender discrimination.
• They want to read articles by and about women like them and it is important
to them that they can relate to the content in the magazines that they choose
to read.
