NLP & COACHING
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development,
and psychotherapy created in the 1970s. The title refers to a stated connection between the
Neurological processes ("Neuro"), language ("linguistic"), and behavioural patterns that have been
learned through experience ("programming"), and can be organized to achieve specific goals in
life.
Coaching, in the context of getting coached by a professional coach, is a process in which an
individual gets support while learning to achieve a specific personal or professional result or goal.

Leading companies worldwide sees the value of executive coaching and are even developing in-
house stables of coaches. Companies are hoping to ease this transition by hiring executive
coaches to work with newly-promoted managers.
Most corporate career paths lead to a role in management. However, being prepared for that step
up in responsibility can be tough; the move from employer to a leader is not a natural transition
for most people. In fact, it can be slightly traumatizing, particularly when one is elevated to having
responsibility over their longtime peers. Most of those in the executive coaching profession tend to

Please ensure that you provide full references for any research findings mentioned in the article. Please send your bio with your submitted article. Bios should be maximum of 100 words and provide a brief summary of your practice, qualifications & publications. Do include links of your website and social media pages. Please include a high-resolution colour head & a shoulder photograph of yourself. With your, article please send us any drawings, tables, charts, photographs to illustrate your article.
