Ambiguity In The Workplace
Strategic ambiguity is used by people, normally in a business setting, to communicate a message to others in a way that is either unclear or
intellectual. It does not matter in depth how the message is delivered because the desired goal is accomplished either way. I think strategic
ambiguity is more than just sugarcoating or being brutally honest, it's choosing your words carefully in order to keep harmony among employees
in the workplace. One way strategic ambiguity could be beneficial in a business setting if an employee pitches a concept, project idea, or a
proposal to a manager. Although the manager might not necessarily approve or even feel like the idea this is where strategic ambiguity comes into
play. The manager can say things among the lines of "This is a great idea, I think if you change just a few times it would work really well" or "I can
see your vision, go back to the drawing board and work out a few kinks then it'll be perfect". Strategic ambiguity purpose is to help avoid using words
like "sucks", "disappointing" or "stupid"....show more content...
A employer shouldn't use it when they completely disagree with a concept. It is better to be honest, then allow the employee to believe that if they
keep working on it they'll eventually win your approval when you know they won't. It is honestly up to a individual discretion to how and when
they'll use strategic ambiguity. You don't want to lie to a person and give them false hope and you also don't want to hurt or disrespect someone either.
I think as long as you remain in these guidelines strategic ambiguity is useful in all business

The Balanced Scorecard Essays
Introduction
The balanced scorecard is a strategic planning and management system that was developed by Dr. Robert S. Kaplan and Dr. David P. Norton in the
early 1990's. Their goal was to provide organizations with a clear understanding of what to measure in order to improve performance and results
(Balanced Scorecard Institute 2014). The balanced scorecard is a framework that allows an organization to measure performance and compare it to the
organization's strategic objectives and goals (Kinney and Raiborn 2013, 10).
Purpose of the Balanced Scorecard
The balanced scorecard uses short– and long–term, internal and external, and financial and nonfinancial measures to evaluate performance. Management
can analyze these measures and compare...show more content...
The internal perspective focuses on employees and their contentment with the organization, the quality of products and services, and cost management
(Kinney and Raiborn 2013, 11).
Learning and Growth Perspective The learning and growth perspective uses the organization's resources to adapt to the changing wants and needs of
customers. The organizations must ask itself whether it can continue to improve and create value for its customers (Kinney and Raiborn 2013, 11). An
organization's ability to innovate and improve their products or services directly affects its value. An organization can create economic growth by
developing new products and services, improving existing products and services, and developing more efficient operations (Kaplan and Norton January
/February 1992, 75).
Financial Performance Perspective The financial perspective uses financial performance measures to determine whether the organization's strategy
and actions are profitable. An organization's financial goals may be as simple as: to survive, to succeed, and to prosper. Survival can be measured by
cash flow, success can be measured by growth in sales and income, and prosperity can be measured by increased market share and return on equity.
Managers are encouraged to use financial measures like these to demonstrate their financial position to shareholders. (Kaplan and Norton

Reflection On Self Assessment
Self–Assessment Reflection
This course delved into the remarkably diverse nature of Organizational Behaviour. Throughout the progression of this course, a scope of various sorts
of self–assessments were presented actively to help develop our own understanding of our very own personal areas of behavioural and personality
traits, strength and developmental needs. By understanding the core elements and partaking in different forms of self–assessments, it can gain a true
essence of who we are as an individual in society. However, the reliability of these assessments differs utterly upon the individual. In this assignment, I
will be exhibiting the repercussions of my results from three self–assessment that I have completed to analyze myself. The three self–assessments I will
emphasis on 'The "Big Five" Personality', 'Are You In Touch With Your Emotions?', and 'Needs
–Strength'.
The "Big Five" Personality
The "Big Five" Personality test, also known as the IPIP–Neo Narrative Report, is an assessment that designed to help an individual who is taking the
test under his/her level on each of the five broad personality domains of the Five–Factor Model. The five main factors are: Extroversion, Agreeableness,
Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness to experience. As a result, the highest score I have attained was the trait of Neuroticism. This personality
trait demonstrates how anxious, insecure, depressed, temperamental and vulnerable I tend to be. Whilst that is moderately accurate, as expected, the
extraversion trait was the lowest score. The results of this self–assessment test were very accurate as it genuinely reflected my personality precisely.
This self–assessment comes from the Five Factor Model of Personality (McShane & Steen, 2015, p. 35). As stated earlier, my score on neuroticism is
the highest. In addition, my results from this trait highly illustrates how anxious, insecure, vulnerable, depressed, and temperamental I can become in
certain situations and environment. I am considered to be sensitive and emotional in society. The result is extremely accurate because whenever I am
upset, I tend to bottle up my feelings and keep my thoughts to myself. I feel as though that if I approach others, even the people

Bad Test Scores
In my opinion test scores and quiz results are all feedback on how much information I`m getting from my course. When I get a bad test score I
realize I need to review the contents and understand the test better so when I get another one ill be able to do better next time. Like when I failed
my math course I had to decide if I wanted to take 5 classes or exchange physics for applied grade 11 math so I didn't have to stay an extra year. So
when I got a bad grade it made me have more motivation to complete grade 11 math so I can graduate with my friends. I have 5 classes this
semester, which means I have to try even harder. Even though I failed, I realized I wanted to retake it because I didn't learn enough from it and this
time I plan to learn

Example Of Search Strategy
Search strategy Three data bases were used to collect the data, namely, One Search, CINAHL and ProQuest. These data bases were searched for the
terms such as 'cardiac rehabilitation', 'quality of life,' 'benefits', and 'CHD'. Inclusion criteria were qualitative articles, written in English and published
between the years of 2010 and 2017. Quantitative articles and articles written in non–English languages are excluded from this study. Moreover, this
study focused only on adults, therefore the paediatric studies are also excluded from this study. After applying the inclusion and exclusion strategy, 12
articles reported qualitative study regarding the topic and they are used in this essay. Data analysis Braun and Clarke (2006) developed a...show more

1.1a ExercisePhysical inactivity is one of the modifiable risk factor for the coronary heart diseases (Devries et al, 2011), and therefore exercise is
used as an integral component of the primary and secondary prevention in reducing mortality and improving the quality of life. Upon reviewing the
literature, the author found that, patients' perspective about physical exercise differs widely. In their study Holder et al (2015) found that, the increased
awareness of the mortality after the cardiac event, help the patients to change their outlook towards life and this further help them to realise the health
benefit of exercise. In addition to that, some of the patients claimed that, exercise helped to divert their mind and thus helps them to cope with the
condition (Holder et al, 2015). Moreover, the current cardiac rehabilitation programme, made the patients aware of the health benefits of exercise and,
therefore they were motivated to continue the exercise (Hillsdon et al, 2013; Morken et al, 2013). Exercising in a safe environment, under the
supervision of the trained staff increases the confidence of patients in participating exercise (Morken et al, 2013). The study also found that, the patient
increases their self–confidence level in performing exercise, after seeing the health improvements in the former cardiac patients (Morken et al, 2013).
Furthermore, Back et al (2017) carried a further study to evaluate

Essay On Credit Score
One may decide to pay cash for everything but, there are reasons to focus on obtaining and keeping a good credit score. The first step toward
understanding how credit affects ones' life is to check the credit standing. One can get two of their credit scores for free on Credit.com. This
completely free tool will break down the credit score into sections and give a grade for each. For example, how is the payment history, debt and other
factors affecting your score, and get recommendations for steps that can be taken to improve ones' credit. It is possible to get a free annual credit
report from each of the major credit reporting agencies Equifax, Experian and TransUnion once every 12 months. This does not give the credit scores
but, it does...show more content...
This is known as a hard inquiry, and it usually knocks a few points from the credit score.
Bad credit reports can affect ones' life in several negative ways. With a bad credit report and a low credit score, it is harder to receive a credit card,
an automobile loan, a mortgage, or possibly a job. It is important that one is always aware of the credit decisions made. Paying bills late, maxing
out credit cards, and filling out too many credit applications in a brief period will also have a negative impact on the credit report. To keep a good
credit report, one should pay bills on time and apply for credit sparingly. Last, but certainly not least, one should check their credit report annually!
A free credit report is available from each of the three credit reporting agencies each year. This is something one should take advantage of since it
will help them judge whether they are managing their credit wisely. It is imperative that one keeps a good credit score. If not, one could miss out on
many opportunities. For example, one may find an opening for their dream job that they are qualified for, but the negative credit report causes them to
not get the job. Do not let this happen! Maintain a good credit report and opportunities like this will not pass by!
People have become increasingly dependent on credit. Therefore, it's crucial that one understands personal

Standard Scores
2. What is a standard score?
A standard score is a scores that enables us to refer to the performance of an individual pupil in relation to the whole population where the mean is
100 and the standard deviation is usually 15. It also allows schools to base their assessments per school year. This is due to standarised scores taking
into account the age of the pupil. A pupil in year 9 that has a date of birth of September would generally be expected to get a higher raw score than a
pupil born in July, both pupils being in the same academic year. However, when calculating thestandard score the age will be taken into account. This
ensures that relevant interventions/arrangements can be put in place for pupils based on the standard score.
3. What scores are considered to fall within the average range?
Standardised scores that are...show more content...
One standard deviation is usually represented by 15 points from the mean. 2 standard deviations are calculated usually by 30 points from the mean.
One standard deviation away from the mean in either direction represents around 68% of the population that took that test. Two standard deviations
away from the mean represent 95% of the population.
8. What is reliability? What reliability should we choose when selecting a test?
Reliability of a test is measured by how accurate and consistent that test is when measuring a target skill. For a test to be reliable it must have
reliability of 0.8 or over. A reliable test should give us a consistent score every time it is completed, i.e. if it a pupil was to complete the same test that
was delivered by 2 different assessors on 2 different days, a reliable test should still give us the same outcome on both tests on both days.
9. What is validity? Name and describe the three mains types of validity.
Validity is a measurement of how well a test measures the skill that needs to be

Making Friends Through Internet Essay
Nowadays, making friends on internet has been popular throughout the world. People search for new friends, soul mates, or confidants. The internet has
become an important tool to connect people with each other. Since the internet is so convenient, making friends may no longer be a problem. On the
other hand, Internet Friendship may lead to some troubles because some people make get cheated online. I strongly disagree with the establishment of
relationships through internet because I think friends on internet friends are different from real life friends. No one knows what their purpose is. From
my past experience, the relationship with internet friends does not last long because they often come and go easily. There are some negative effects

Some parents are not aware of dangers of internet that brings to their children particularly making friends through internet. For example, their children
might get cheated with someone else on internet and their children will not tell what happen to them when they encounter danger. According to BBC
News, a 47 year old man defrauded a 13 year old girl online and asked to meet face to face. Luckily, the girl's mother found out beforehand or else her
daughter might be in danger. From this news, we can see that there internet friends are not always honest and they are more likely to consider as
un–trustful strangers. Therefore, parents should concern more about their children, teach them about the dangers of making friends on internet, and
avoid them from going out with a stranger.
With the development of internet, people are able to meet new friends who have the same interest or hobby through the internet. Although, it is easy to
make friends on internet, people do not know whether the person they are talking to is good or bad. Some people will also spend most of their time on
internet which leads them to less interaction with friends and family. Parents should concern more about their children while they are meeting new
friends on internet. Although the internet allows people to stay in touch with distant family and friends, I think the negative effects

  • 3. The Balanced Scorecard Essays Introduction The balanced scorecard is a strategic planning and management system that was developed by Dr. Robert S. Kaplan and Dr. David P. Norton in the early 1990's. Their goal was to provide organizations with a clear understanding of what to measure in order to improve performance and results (Balanced Scorecard Institute 2014). The balanced scorecard is a framework that allows an organization to measure performance and compare it to the organization's strategic objectives and goals (Kinney and Raiborn 2013, 10). The internal perspective focuses on employees and their contentment with the organization, the quality of products and services, and cost management (Kinney and Raiborn 2013, 11). Learning and Growth Perspective The learning and growth perspective uses the organization's resources to adapt to the changing wants and needs of customers. The organizations must ask itself whether it can continue to improve and create value for its customers (Kinney and Raiborn 2013, 11). An organization's ability to innovate and improve their products or services directly affects its value. An organization can create economic growth by developing new products and services, improving existing products and services, and developing more efficient operations (Kaplan and Norton January /February 1992, 75). Financial Performance Perspective The financial perspective uses financial performance measures to determine whether the organization's strategy and actions are profitable. An organization's financial goals may be as simple as: to survive, to succeed, and to prosper. Survival can be measured by cash flow, success can be measured by growth in sales and income, and prosperity can be measured by increased market share and return on equity. Managers are encouraged to use financial measures like these to demonstrate their financial position to shareholders. (Kaplan and Norton Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. Reflection On Self Assessment Self–Assessment Reflection This course delved into the remarkably diverse nature of Organizational Behaviour. Throughout the progression of this course, a scope of various sorts of self–assessments were presented actively to help develop our own understanding of our very own personal areas of behavioural and personality traits, strength and developmental needs. By understanding the core elements and partaking in different forms of self–assessments, it can gain a true essence of who we are as an individual in society. However, the reliability of these assessments differs utterly upon the individual. In this assignment, I will be exhibiting the repercussions of my results from three self–assessment that I have completed to analyze myself. The three self–assessments I will emphasis on 'The "Big Five" Personality', 'Are You In Touch With Your Emotions?', and 'Needs –Strength'. The "Big Five" Personality The "Big Five" Personality test, also known as the IPIP–Neo Narrative Report, is an assessment that designed to help an individual who is taking the test under his/her level on each of the five broad personality domains of the Five–Factor Model. The five main factors are: Extroversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness to experience. As a result, the highest score I have attained was the trait of Neuroticism. This personality trait demonstrates how anxious, insecure, depressed, temperamental and vulnerable I tend to be. Whilst that is moderately accurate, as expected, the extraversion trait was the lowest score. The results of this self–assessment test were very accurate as it genuinely reflected my personality precisely. This self–assessment comes from the Five Factor Model of Personality (McShane & Steen, 2015, p. 35). As stated earlier, my score on neuroticism is the highest. In addition, my results from this trait highly illustrates how anxious, insecure, vulnerable, depressed, and temperamental I can become in certain situations and environment. I am considered to be sensitive and emotional in society. The result is extremely accurate because whenever I am upset, I tend to bottle up my feelings and keep my thoughts to myself. I feel as though that if I approach others, even the people Get more content on HelpWriting.net

When I get a bad test score I realize I need to review the contents and understand the test better so when I get another one ill be able to do better next time. Like when I failed my math course I had to decide if I wanted to take 5 classes or exchange physics for applied grade 11 math so I didn't have to stay an extra year. So when I got a bad grade it made me have more motivation to complete grade 11 math so I can graduate with my friends. I have 5 classes this semester, which means I have to try even harder. Even though I failed, I realized I wanted to retake it because I didn't learn enough from it and this time I plan to learn Get more content on HelpWriting.net

In addition to that, some of the patients claimed that, exercise helped to divert their mind and thus helps them to cope with the condition (Holder et al, 2015). Moreover, the current cardiac rehabilitation programme, made the patients aware of the health benefits of exercise and, therefore they were motivated to continue the exercise (Hillsdon et al, 2013; Morken et al, 2013). Exercising in a safe environment, under the supervision of the trained staff increases the confidence of patients in participating exercise (Morken et al, 2013). A standard score is a scores that enables us to refer to the performance of an individual pupil in relation to the whole population where the mean is 100 and the standard deviation is usually 15. It also allows schools to base their assessments per school year. This is due to standarised scores taking into account the age of the pupil. A pupil in year 9 that has a date of birth of September would generally be expected to get a higher raw score than a pupil born in July, both pupils being in the same academic year. However, when calculating thestandard score the age will be taken into account. This ensures that relevant interventions/arrangements can be put in place for pupils based on the standard score. 3. Reliability of a test is measured by how accurate and consistent that test is when measuring a target skill. For a test to be reliable it must have reliability of 0.8 or over. A reliable test should give us a consistent score every time it is completed, i.e. if it a pupil was to complete the same test that was delivered by 2 different assessors on 2 different days, a reliable test should still give us the same outcome on both tests on both days. 9.
