QDROs to ensure compliance with Plan documents. 
· Provides consultative support overseeing the service provider management team in 
setting participation goals and objectives; developing employee communication and 
educational materials; and in ensuring monitoring of legal compliance related to the 
administration of the defined benefit plan document review and maintenance of 
Retirement Program summary plan descriptions as needed. 
· Oversees and coordinates the annual audit of the Retirement Plans with both external and 
internal auditors.
· Maintains a working knowledge of the defined benefit Plans. With the Defined 
Contribution Manager, provides final approval of defined benefit system updates to 
TAPE and development of related communications. 
· Serves as a subject matter resource, providing guidance, training and problem resolution 
to internal colleagues, retirees and others regarding Retirement policies, processes and 
services. 
· Provides consultative support and assists in the development of administrative linkages 
between the defined benefits and defined contribution plans such as termination 
processing, QDROs and the development and maintenance of an employee databases. 
· Responsible for the maintenance and update of various internal spreadsheets, generated 
letters and forms. 
· Provides training and guidance to Lead Analyst on internal processing (i.e., evaluation 
process and other related HR functions, payments to the bank, etc.) and leadership 
services. 
Manager, Defined Benefit Plan – Retirement, CHE Trinity Health, 10/1/10 to 9/30/13 
· Manages, organizes and directs the day-to-day activities of the Customer Service Center. 
Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, evaluation and termination of pension 
administration staff. Manages the quality of customer service provided to participants, 
retirees, attorneys, and others. Directs the staff on how to respond to exception situations 
and investigates/resolves escalated customer inquiries. 
· Responsible for retirement payments of approximately $156 million per year. 
· Manages the review, testing, and on-going integrity and credibility of the Pension 
administration database. In consultation with Plan auditors, develops, tests, implements 
and evaluates system security procedures. 
· Manages legal compliance activities related to the administration of the defined benefit 
plans including QDROs, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and monitoring that the 
plan operations are consistent with the Plan document as well as the SPDs. 
· Provides oversight in the authorization of QDROs to meet regulatory requirements to 
include the calculation of benefits to the alternate payee and exception processing. 
Supervises associates through the DRO qualification process and manages DRO process 
through the automated system 
· Manages systems upgrades to pension calculator with regards to Plan and/or regulatory 
changes, M&A activity, union issues, etc. 
· Works closely with external vendors including actuarial, legal, accounting, and pension 
consulting firms. 
Team Lead, Trinity Health Retirement Program, 1/10/2010 to 10/1/10 
· Worked closely with DB manager, actuary and legal counsel on the Hackley divestiture. 
Was intimately involved from the early planning stages to the development of forms, all 
aspects of QDRO management, the on-site counseling of Hackley employees, through 
payment of the benefits.
· Lead task force discussion on current pension packet, worked with outside vendors, and 
designed and implemented a new user-friendly election packet for the Cash Balance Plan. 
This initiative streamlined our packet and initiated system updates to streamline data 
entry of pension election from seven points of entry to one. 
· Checked, reviewed, and processed 1,600 re-retirement calculations in February to ensure 
pension benefits were accurately calculated. 
· Authorized to do final checking of disbursement authorizations to Bank Trustee, which 
results in the payment of pension annuities and lump sums in excess of $100 million 
annually. 
· Planned, organized, and directed the day-to-day activities of the Customer Service 
Center. Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluation of the pension administration 
staff. Managed the quality of customer service provided to participants, retirees,
