Responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance on
all equipment for which the Servo Group is responsible, including
troubleshooting analog and digital electronics circuits to the
component level.
Repaired and maintained VLA and VLBA servo systems on a 25 meter
radio observation antenna.
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting; ACU, encoder,
focus/rotation system and fire alarm systems.
Responsible for maintain the cabling system that may deteriorate due
to weather, finding innovative ways to improve systems that were
required to operate in harsh environments.
Required to work safely at heights and on narrow landings by using
the necessary safety equipment needed to perform the work.
Worked on PLC units that were used on the Transporter for moving
the antennas.

Responsibilities included managing drain sumps including testing for
chemicals and hydrocarbons before draining; testing and verification
of proper operation of pumps and air handling equipment.
Conducted maintenance of air cleaning (exhaust system) equipment
and fresh air supply systems (MUA); scrubbers, DURR exhaust
equipment, air filters, humidifying systems.
Responsible for electrical systems including; PLC equipment, VFD for
operating motors, current monitoring, testing of circuit breakers for
overheating.

COMMUNICATION NRAO New Mexico – Safety report completed on the safety of the
rail road track system used to move the antennas to various
locations over approximately fifty miles of track. The report
identified several concerns with the intersections of the rail
system. This report resulted in hiring of an additional five track
crew positions for rail road maintenance, along with an
increased level of work to be performed in the maintenance
realm.
LEADERSHIP Member of the NM Region 2 EMS Board of Directors
representing Northern Catron County. This Board provided
leadership and training for the Emergency Medical Technicians
in the Region 2 area.
