COMMUNICATION NRAO New Mexico – Safety report completed on the safety of the
rail road track system used to move the antennas to various
locations over approximately fifty miles of track. The report
identified several concerns with the intersections of the rail
system. This report resulted in hiring of an additional five track
crew positions for rail road maintenance, along with an
increased level of work to be performed in the maintenance
realm.
