P and T technology (Pty) Ltd is an accredited training provider. We offer apprenticeship
training in Millwright and Learnership and apprenticeship training in the Electrical, Mechanical
fitter and Instrumentation trades.
The company is accredited as a training provider by the CHIETA (Chemical Industries SETA)
and QCTO for our apprentices and learnership NQF 2-4 training programs for Mechanical fitter
and Instrumentation and apprenticeship program for Millwright
The company has accreditation as an Electrical training provider with the Education Training
and Development Sector Education Training Authority (ETDP SETA), and electrical training
and assessments for learnerships and apprentiships with Energy Water Sector Education
Training Authority (EWSETA) Construction SETA (CETA), Manufacturing SETA (MERSETA)
as well as the Chemical Industries SETA. It furthermore has accreditation as a Decentralised
Trade Test Centre, with the EWSETA, CETA and CHIETA and has already been accredited
by National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB) and INDLELA. We offer the short courses as
required by the department of labour to be able to become a registered person.
The electrical component of the business is to develop the skills of the electrical person
responsible for the compliance, safety declaration and certification of the electrical
installation. Our courses provide the skills and knowledge required by the electrician in order
to inspect and test an electrical installation. Our inspection and testing programmes currently
cater for three levels, Domestic (single phase tester), Industrial/Commercial (three phase)
and Hazardous (flammable areas). All of these courses lead to a competence assessment
where the learner will have to demonstrate knowledge and skills in a practical assessment
on site.
As a service to our clients we have a Psychometry department. Our psychometry
department are able to conduct assessments for all levels of management, non-
management positions, engineering apprenticeships/learnerships, university readiness,
career guidance and team developments. Our clients have found huge benefits with using
the psychometry service to assist them with selection of the candidate who will be the most
suitable for a particular position in terms of factors such as personality, aptitude, emotional
intelligence and reasoning ability.
