Do you have experience of working as an Assessor and Trainer in a Rolling Stock
maintenance or Heavy Engineering background?
A recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
A recognised Training or Assessors qualification?
Our global client is constantly employing and training multi-skilled engineers and technicians. As a
result they are continually developing their own staff and compliment this with an apprenticeship
scheme.
Based in the South East this role is commutable from Ashford, Dartford, Gillingham, Hythe,
Maidstone, Royal Tonbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Whitstable.
Salary level is from £35,000 - £38,000 per annum plus company pension scheme, private medical
insurance, 25 days holiday per year, life assurance.
Reporting to the Training Manager your responsibility will be to
Maintain the day to day competence of the operational staff, ensuring they’re fully trained
to required requirements and compliance with all current legislation.
Deliver training to new and existing staff
Deliver training on depot infrastructure, plant and systems to new and existing staff
Carry out formal assessments to determine the competence of safety critical staff
Create and continuingly improve training and assessment documentation such as
presentations, course guides, session plans, delegates notes, assessments & tests within the
document management system to identified specifications
Establish and retain a sound fundamental knowledge of relevant Railway Group Standards,
legislation and good practice.
Keep training and assessment records up to date within the document management system
Establish and retain a sound fundamental knowledge of engineering disciplines including
(but not limited to) Electrical and Electronic Systems, Mechanical Systems & Pneumatic
Systems.
Support health and safety practices in the workplace.
