The project involved constructing a new two-story office building and hearing labs to replace an aging facility. It also included two levels of underground parking and six stories of condominium units above. Project Description
Project involved a new two story office
building with hearing labs to replace
an existing aging facility. Two levels
of parking were constructed below and
six levels of condominium units in two
towers were built above.
Mechanical:
The central heating plant consists of
two gas fired boilers which pipe hot
water through a two pipe hydronic
loop to central air handlers and VAV
boxes. A rooftop chiller provided
cooling to a central air handler located
in the parking garage as well as
smaller fan coil units to serve future
retail spaces.
Special consideration was given to
acoustics in order to allow for proper
facility operation as a hearing center.
Special system design included sound
attenuators, reduced velocity duct
work sizing and low noise air terminal
selection.
