Foreword
KATA PENGANTAR
"Indonesia Food
Innovation (IFI) 2023 is an
acceleration program for the
Small and Medium Food Industries (SMI) which have been
chosen from the selected innovative food products that
are produced using local resources as the ingredients.
We intend to make Indonesia’s small and medium food
industries marketable, profitable, and sustainable.
ThiscatalogcoversIFI2023participantswhohavepassedthe
selection stage which consists of 14 intermediate products
of SMI and 26 end products of SMI. The IFI 2023 participants
receive coaching and mentoring from professional experts
through Food Camp to improve their capabilities, both from
practical and business aspects, being prepared to become
modern food industry.
The food and beverage industry is an important contributor
to the Indonesian economy. As of the third quarter of 2023,
this industry has contributed 6.59% of total GDP, and as of
November 2023, the export value of the food and beverage
industry reached 1.6 million dollars. With the ability to adapt
to market needs, the small and medium food and beverage
industry can absorb 36.5% of the total small and medium
workforce with a total workforce of 39.7% of the total small
and medium industry which is an excellent opportunity to

Through IFI 2023, the Directorate General of Small, Medium,
and Multifarious Industries facilitates the development of
SMI by providing sustainable guidance. IFI 2023 is expected
to accelerate the scale-up of SMI food businesses and to
develop innovation.
With gratitude, the IFI 2023 program can be carried out well
with all parties' support and cooperation. We are delighted
and proud to say that IFI 2023 participants can collaborate
with relevant stakeholders, such as investors, financial
institutions, potential buyers, and other parties, and become
an independent, modern, and innovative food industry.

About Indonesia Food Innovation
TENTANG INDONESIA FOOD INNOVATION
The Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) program is a business
acceleration program for selected SMI’s food that have
product innovations and use local resources as their
primary raw material to create a food industry that ready to
be marketable, profitable, and sustainable.
Scope of innovation in the Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI)
Program is all the activities that result in increased or a
renewal of the product’s benefits and the result of the
production.

Program Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) merupakan
program akselerasi bisnis bagi IKM Pangan terpilih yang
mempunyai inovasi produk dan/ atau proses dan berbahan
baku utama sumber daya lokal agar siap menjadi industri
pangan yang marketable, profitable, dan sustainable.
Lingkup inovasi dalam Program Indonesia Food Innovation
(IFI) yaitu segala aktivitas yang menghasilkan peningkatan
dan/ atau kebaruan manfaat dari produk yang dihasilkan
dan/ atau proses produksi yang dilakukan.

Penilaian
After joining the food camp, the participant will be assessed
by the assessment team to determine that the professional
expert’s business and practice training can be applied in
their business.
At this stage, the assessment criteria emphasize these
areas:
1. Commitment to join in all the activities series in the
Food Camp
2. Creating business development plan.

dilakukan penilaian oleh Tim Penilai bahwa pendampingan
yang diberikan oleh para ahli di bidang bisnis dan teknik

IFI is a programme for SMEs to accelerate innovation. Since there was a great deal of interest from
the 2,125 IFI participants, we will continue to sponsor and organise this IFI. And on December 14, there
will be an award ceremony. Hopefully, we'll have SMEs with strong worldwide competitiveness.
Additionally, I am thrilled that some SMEs collaborate with local farmers to promote food
downstreaming. IFI is an excellent opportunity to support the innovation development efforts of
the Ministry of Industry, which enables our small and medium-sized businesses to advance and rise
through the ranks of industry.
This is an extremely useful event because it provides us with potential SMEs that have high-quality
products. Additionally, I am thrilled that some SMEs collaborate with local farmers to promote food
downstreaming.
The IFI participants this year have impressed me with their high turnover and high-quality products.

Various kinds of fish can be found there. One of the most
widely sold is milkfish. This is where Bandeng Sultan comes
into. Bandeng Sultan is a culinary business that produces
various kinds of processed milkfish since 2019. Our vision is
to make Bandeng Sultan the largest Makassar gift token in
Eastern Indonesia. For this reason, we are always developing
product innovations, improving the product's quality and
standardization, as well as conducting regular market and
consumer research.
Bandeng Sultan is packed in the form of frozen food so that
it can extend the shelf life without reducing the quality of the
product. We do this to cater the needs of today's lifestyle
that should be faster, easier and more practical. Our flagship
products are Boneless Milkfish and Presto Milkfish. Currently

Riau is the second-largest pineapple-producing province
in Indonesia after Central Java. So as the sons of the
region, we do have the responsibility to make pineapple
one of the best natural resources in Indonesia by making
various processed pineapple products of the highest
quality. What is more, the original Riau pineapple is the
sweet kind of honey pineapple, which is rich in fiber and
high in vitamin C.
CV Hanisun Cake was founded in 2012. Initially, we made
pineapple-jam for various kinds of bakery cakes, then in
2016, we started to focus on processing Riau pineapples.
Apart from pineapple-jam as the main product, we
also produce various foods such as pineapple cakes,
pineapple pies, pineapple sticks, pineapple dodols, and
pineapple juice drinks. We produce everything from
selected raw honey pineapple, the best product we
receive from pineapple farmers in Pekanbaru. We always
ensure that the choice of materials and production
processes comply with hygiene standards and halal
certification.

Bali Food Industry began our journey on September 12,
2019, selling lemonade under the Maha Lemon brand. We
grew and became supplier of fruits for some cafes and
bars in Bali. Next, in 2020, we have created Frozen Fruit.
In 2021 we received BPOM and PSAT approval, which help
us expanding our market to several retailers. By 2022, we
built a larger warehouse and a better team to improve the
production and quality of Bali Food Industry’s products.
Frozen Fruit has 18+ variants. Strawberry, mango, avocado,
pineapple, soursop, and more, packaged in 500gr and
1000gr. They’ve already peeled and deseeded so it is
simple, practical, ready to use. As long as it has kept
frozen at -18 degrees Celsius it can contain the vitamin
within the fruits and has about 6 - 12 month of storability
if it is frozen. Maha Lemon has 3 variants: original, ginger,
and honey.
Our product source focused on local fruits from our
partnered and local farmers to help them grow their farm.
We use every fruit even if that fruits are rejected from the
market because of its size, color, or shape. Our target
market is HoReCa, retails, and end customer.

pandemic. This is the response to requests from
housewives near the production facility. They wanted
to empower themselves and support their family's
economy. The business, then, was born out of the spirit of
community empowerment.
Foodganic consistently produces Indonesian seasoning
paste without preservatives, MSG, and artificial coloring.
This has made Foodganic products popular among
people of all ages and social backgrounds. We are
committed to contributing to the improvement of
customer quality and health as part of the sustainable
development program. Offering premium ingredients,

Our business was started during the coronavirus or
COVID-19 hit our beloved country. We are a small-scale
business that tries to struggle during conditions that were
full of uncertainty back thenWe tried our luck by utilizing
the abundant natural resources and local ingredients
around us. Garut is a fertile and abundant agricultural
area. Palm sugar, tomatoes and chilies are abundant
in our place. But unfortunately, the farmers and the
community are not benefiting enough. The vegetables
and spices are only sold in raw form. That's why the
income they get is very low.
We recognize this abundance of natural resources as
a reason for us to add value by creatively processing
the raw materials around us. We packaged them and
continue to diversify our products.
Currently, we have four local brands on our hands that
are growing:
Brand Orlife: A brand for baking and pasta ingredients.
Brand Laville: A brand for classic syrup and palm sugar
syrup.
Brand Kitarasa: Brand for brown sugar-based
preparations.

Mojopahit Chocolate was born from the initiation of the
Nahdatul Ulama organization for Economic Affairs to develop
community resources and natural resources in the Mojokerto
area. The cocoa plant was chosen because its potential was
seen as sufficient to develop accordingly. In 2011, the first cocoa
tree was planted. The first harvest was carried out in 2014, and
at the same time, a Plantation Farmers Group was formed.
In 2018, the name Mojopahit Chocolate was registered as an
officialtrademark.WechoseitbecausetheMojopahitKingdom
is a unifying milestone in the history of this nation. This is in line
with our aspiration to raise Indonesian cocoa farmers with
an integrated production program, from the initial planting of
seeds to the sale of high-quality final products.
Not only for farmers, we provide services to anyone. From
school students, university students, community groups,
agencies, entrepreneurs, and from the industrial sector. There
is a tour of the nursery process on the plantation and a tour
of the production process in the factory. There is education for
schools, universities, and entrepreneurs. Also, cross-agency
and cross-industry sector collaboration (with HoReCa).
Mojopahit chocolate is available in various products, from
cocoa powder to chocolate drinks to chocolate snacks. All
production processes comply with standards and are certified,
making all products of high quality. We are ready to explore the
world.

INDONESIA FOOD INNOVATION 2023 i Foreword KATA PENGANTAR "Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) 2023 is an acceleration program for the Small and Medium Food Industries (SMI) which have been chosen from the selected innovative food products that are produced using local resources as the ingredients. We intend to make Indonesia’s small and medium food industries marketable, profitable, and sustainable. ThiscatalogcoversIFI2023participantswhohavepassedthe selection stage which consists of 14 intermediate products of SMI and 26 end products of SMI. The IFI 2023 participants receive coaching and mentoring from professional experts through Food Camp to improve their capabilities, both from practical and business aspects, being prepared to become modern food industry. The food and beverage industry is an important contributor to the Indonesian economy. As of the third quarter of 2023, this industry has contributed 6.59% of total GDP, and as of November 2023, the export value of the food and beverage industry reached 1.6 million dollars. With the ability to adapt to market needs, the small and medium food and beverage industry can absorb 36.5% of the total small and medium workforce with a total workforce of 39.7% of the total small and medium industry which is an excellent opportunity to Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries Ministry of Industry, Republic of Indonesia Ir. Reni Yanita M.Si Direktorat Jenderal Industri Kecil, Menengah dan Aneka Kementerian Perindustrian, Republik Indonesia compete in the national and global markets. Through IFI 2023, the Directorate General of Small, Medium, and Multifarious Industries facilitates the development of SMI by providing sustainable guidance. IFI 2023 is expected to accelerate the scale-up of SMI food businesses and to develop innovation. With gratitude, the IFI 2023 program can be carried out well with all parties' support and cooperation. INDONESIA FOOD INNOVATION 2023 2 About Indonesia Food Innovation TENTANG INDONESIA FOOD INNOVATION The Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) program is a business acceleration program for selected SMI’s food that have product innovations and use local resources as their primary raw material to create a food industry that ready to be marketable, profitable, and sustainable. Scope of innovation in the Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) Program is all the activities that result in increased or a renewal of the product’s benefits and the result of the production. ••• Program Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) merupakan program akselerasi bisnis bagi IKM Pangan terpilih yang mempunyai inovasi produk dan/ atau proses dan berbahan baku utama sumber daya lokal agar siap menjadi industri pangan yang marketable, profitable, dan sustainable. Lingkup inovasi dalam Program Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) yaitu segala aktivitas yang menghasilkan peningkatan dan/ atau kebaruan manfaat dari produk yang dihasilkan dan/ atau proses produksi yang dilakukan. INDONESIA FOOD INNOVATION 2023 3 JUDGING Penilaian After joining the food camp, the participant will be assessed by the assessment team to determine that the professional expert’s business and practice training can be applied in their business. At this stage, the assessment criteria emphasize these areas: 1. Commitment to join in all the activities series in the Food Camp 2. Creating business development plan. ••• Setelah mengikuti food camp, terhadap para peserta akan dilakukan penilaian oleh Tim Penilai bahwa pendampingan yang diberikan oleh para ahli di bidang bisnis dan teknik memberikan hasil nyata pada bisnis mereka. Pada tahap ini, kriteria penilaian ditekankan pada: 1. Kesungguhan dalam mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan food camp; dan 2. Rencana pengembangan bisnis yang disusun. Since there was a great deal of interest from the 2,125 IFI participants, we will continue to sponsor and organise this IFI. And on December 14, there will be an award ceremony. Hopefully, we'll have SMEs with strong worldwide competitiveness. Additionally, I am thrilled that some SMEs collaborate with local farmers to promote food downstreaming. IFI is an excellent opportunity to support the innovation development efforts of the Ministry of Industry, which enables our small and medium-sized businesses to advance and rise through the ranks of industry.
