Since 2016, when International Chefs Day (India)
was re-purposed, awareness levels of the ‘day’ and
the goals have increased rapidly.
The 2019 campaign builds on this foundation. It
focusses on a chef’s participation with the two
simple ‘good’ goals: celebrate with the kitchen team
& feed less fortunate children in the community.

ambassadors for Chefs Day 2019. Each will
personally feed 200 children & lead
collective activities in their regions.
In at least 10 locations, legendary chefs will
lead other chefs to prepare & donate 1000
meals in a public setting.

30,000 free pastries will be distributed by
pastry chefs in at least 150 high street
locations on Chefs Day (Oct 20) as part of
the public engagement.
On November 11, one get-together in each
mega hub for all chefs to interact and
celebrate with their peers and industry.

supporting this programme.

THE VIRTUAL BANK
The most unique aspect of the programme, this is to keep
resources on stand-by to support the chefs’ community
activities. It will be called upon only if needed.
A brand keeps a limited amount of food & funds on stand-by.
Those chefs that may need support in their community
activities will reach out to the brands supporting Chefs Day
(India). The brand, at its discretion, may then support them
directly with food or funds from its allocated reserves.
The brand retains those reserves that are unconsumed.
Food & funds for those who need it, only if needed
BALANCE FUNDS WILL BE REDIRECTED TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Its likely that a percentage of a brand’s allocated
reserve funds will be un-utilised after October 20.
At each brand’s discretion, this will be re-directed to
the Scholarship Fund which has two ‘good’ goals:
sponsor the education of deserving student chefs &
train professional chefs to compete internationally.

  • 9. THE VIRTUAL BANK The most unique aspect of the programme, this is to keep resources on stand-by to support the chefs’ community activities. It will be called upon only if needed. A brand keeps a limited amount of food & funds on stand-by. Those chefs that may need support in their community activities will reach out to the brands supporting Chefs Day (India). The brand, at its discretion, may then support them directly with food or funds from its allocated reserves. The brand retains those reserves that are unconsumed. Food & funds for those who need it, only if needed BALANCE FUNDS WILL BE REDIRECTED TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
  • 10. SCHOLARSHIP FUND Its likely that a percentage of a brand’s allocated reserve funds will be un-utilised after October 20. At each brand’s discretion, this will be re-directed to the Scholarship Fund which has two ‘good’ goals: sponsor the education of deserving student chefs & train professional chefs to compete internationally.
