2. Pre-Production
• The first stage of a successful production is planning. It is
important to plan thoroughly by identifying clearly your
Production aims, style, key messages and target audience. You
do this so that you create the music video correctly to match
the style and genre of music. They will also plan the video on
how it is suited for their audience e.g. and punk/rock video
would have dark colours due to the demands from the
audience.
3. Production
• The production stage is the stage where the
footage is gathered. This means they will go to the
chosen location and make sure they have the
correct props. A good idea is to take more shots
and parts of footage than you need, this will give
the editor plenty of footage to deal with and it
wont be set in stone what he has to use.
4. Post Production
• Post production is where all the footage is put into
the editing software and then put together and
edited. There are various professional software's
such as Song Vegas, Adobe After Effects, Adobe
Premier etc. Once in the editing programs, there
are a number different effects from colour
correction to lens flares, everything you need to
create a quality film/video.
