2. ADDIE Model The Addie Model is a system used to help
teachers trainers organize and present material.
It is an acronym for Analysis, Design,
Development, Implementation and Evaluation
Although evaluation is at the end, it imperative
to Evaluate at each step of the process to ensure
the proper information is conveyed

Model
• The Dick and Carey Model is
another way you can organize
your learning material and it is
broken down into 9 steps.
• Identify goals, Conduct analysis,
Identify Behaviors, Write
Objectives, Develop Criterion
test, Develop Strategy, Develop
Materials, Formative Evaluation
and Summative Evaluation

4. Similarities
• Both methods use some form of
evaluation to double check that the
information is appropriate to the
learning objective.
• Both methods also start with some
sort of analysis designed to help
determine the objective of the
training. They would include
questions like “What do I want my
students to be able to do?...”
