1.
2. A cruise ship or cruise liner is a passenger ship used
for pleasure voyages, where the voyage itself and
the ship's amenities are a part of the experience, as
well as the different destinations, ports of call, along
the way. Transportation is not the only purpose of
cruising, particularly on cruises that return
passengers to their originating port, with the ports
of call usually in a specified region of a continent.
There are even "cruises to nowhere" or "nowhere
voyages" where the ship makes 2–3 night round
trips without any ports of call.
3. Roll-on/roll-off (RORO or ro-ro) ships are vessels
designed to carry wheeled cargo, such as cars,
trucks, semi-trailer trucks, trailers, and railroad cars,
that are driven on and off the ship on their own
wheels or using a platform vehicle, such as a self-
propelled modular transporter. This is in contrast to
lift-on/lift-off (LoLo) vessels, which use a crane to
load and unload cargo.
