The document is a diary detailing the creation of an animated travel website about Australia over a period of two weeks. It outlines research conducted on existing travel websites and the development of a proposal. Sources of images, text and videos were gathered to include on the website. A storyboard was created detailing the layout and content of each webpage.

1. Diary
Tuesday the 2nd October
Today I plan on researching into different Australian travel and tourist websites and begin analysing
the layout, interactivity and typography of each website. I will also look into the colour palettes and
publishing format. This is all relevant information to use for when I create my own website.
Thursday the 4th October
Today I plan on attempting to complete my research on different Australian travel and tourist
websites and possible compare sites with one another based on their layout, interactivity and
colours. I will try to state what I would and would not use for my own site and why.
- During this lesion I was able to fully complete my research, analysing and comparing a total
of three websites that are connected to tourism in Australia for young people. I have saved it
as a PDF and put it on my blogger for grading.
Friday the 5th October
Today I am going to begin my proposal for an animated website. I will include my proposal things
such as; Target audience, Aesthetic quality, Visual style, Layout, The type of Images to be used and
Publishing format.
Tuesday the 9th October
Today I will be continuing my proposal for an animated website. I am going to begin talking about
what I will include in the website itself.
- In today’s lesson I was able to exceed my goal and complete the proposal, including all the
relevant information I needed to include.
Thursday the 11th October
In today’s lesson I will be gathering images, text and videos as references and sources for my
website. I will mainly focus on obtaining images but will begin to search for text if completed.
- I was able to find a number of images for the website and made sure to keep a bibliography
of everything I found. I also found some useful websites for each state of Australia
Friday the 12th October
Today I will try and complete my source of images and gather more textual sources. I may begin
finding video sources.
- I was able to find many images but still need to find area specific images for the website.
Tuesday the 16th October
Today I will finish looking for city specific images and try to find some reliable textual sources.

2. - I was able to find some reliable textual sources but was unable to finish finding images. This
is because there were more places I needed to research by the end of the lesson.
Thursday the 18th October
In today’s lesson I hope to complete gathering source images, text and video and move on to
creating the storyboard for my website.
- In this lesson I was able to complete finding source images, text and videos and almost
finished my storyboards for the website pages.
Friday the 19th October
Today I plan on completing the storyboard for the webpages and drawing sketches of logo, map and
image designs.
