Over the past few months I have had the pleasure of working with Kurt Angst at Marine Credit Union. In
that amount of time, Kurt has earned a great deal of respect from me as well as my co-workers. Not only
does Kurt give me encouragement and guidance on a daily basis, but he also congratulates and
recognizes me for all of my efforts as often as possible.
One of Kurt's greatest strengths is not just his vast knowledge, but the fact that he draws on the strengths
of everyone around him. He encourages everyone to give their input and draws off of the experience and
expertise of the people around him to come to the best resolution for any challenge that he is facing. I
don't believe I have ever been in a position where my manager valued my opinion as much as Kurt did.
Kurt also has the highest moral standards of any manager that I have ever worked for in my career. He
truly believes in doing the right thing. He would not hesitate to stand up for what was right for his
employees and even what was right for the other employees in the company. The part that impressed me
the most was that he did all of this in an environment where I had been told to "just smile and wave" for
over a year. Kurt was not afraid to go against the status quo to try and do the right thing.
I would be happy and honored to work with Kurt again in any kind of environment.
