1. Characters
As a groupwe decidedontheirbeingonlytwo
characters inthe clip.The main character beinga
younggirl (teenager) andavillainwhowe only
see small partsoff.We also decidedthatKirsty
(whoispart of our group) will be ourmain
character because we don'twantto have to rely
on othersto turnup for filming.
2. Costumes
The main character will be wearingaredshirtdresswitha
pinkand white pokerdottedheadband.We decidedthisin
the meetingbecause we wantthe coloursto represent
youthand danger.The villainwill be wearingblack
trainers,blue/blackhoodieandblacktrousers.We thought
we wouldgoverystereotypical of avillainbecausethere is
no speechinourthriller,makingourthrillerall about
visualisingand puttingtogetherthe cluesyourself.
3. Location
We have basedourthrilleraroundnature
as it representsinnocence,italso
representsthe lossof innocence as
nature and flowerscanbe easily
damaged.There are three different
locations,howeveritismeanttolooklike
the two charactersis inone place.Two of
the locationsbeingusedisafield/forest
thiswas decidedasitcan showthe
contrastingatmospheresthe locations
usedwasCrystal Palace park and a field
close to myhouse.The otherlocation
usedwasKelseypark,thisparkhad good
sceneriesandIfeltrepresentedournew
thrillerconceptwell.
4. EditingandMusic software
We decidedthatwe woulduse the editingsoftware of
Final CutPro on apple mac computersandGarage Band
for makingourown unique musicforourthrilleropening.
5. Storyline
Thiswas the hardestpointto discussinthe meeting
because we reallywantedtoputtogethersomethingthat
it goingto engage the audience intowatching.Inthe end
we decidedthatthe storyline isthatthere isa young
innocentgirl thathas herwhole life beeninawitness
protectionprogramas herparentshad beenmurderedby
thisserial killer,howeverthe killerwasinprisonandhas
nowmanagedbreakout to gethisrevenge.The younggirl
believesshe’ssafe until the time she goesintothe woods.
The girl survivesinthe endandmanagestoescape this
violent,viciousandvindictivemurdererbykillinghimand
unrevealinghisidentitytothe audience (whichisher
brother).Howeverwe are notgoingto showall of that, we
have decidedtoshowshortshotsthat give hintsandclues
of whatisgoingto happenforexample we will seethe
younggirl enterthe forestto geta balloon,we thensee
the killer(herbother) holdasisternecklace…itswings in
the air as he holdsit,we also revisitwhere theyusedto
playas childrene.g.the swingset.
6. Responsibilities
There are fourof us inour groupso we need
to distribute the amountof rolesequally.
Myself andShannon,have filmedthe majority
of the openingwiththe helpof OliverandJosh.
We all decidedthatwe wantto have a role in
editingthe film,howeveritwasme,Shannon
and Oliverwhowill edit.JoshandOliverare in
charge of musicand makingitfitwithour
thrillerfilm.Myjobisexecutiveproducerand
Shannon’sjob wasto be the directorof the
film.
