PROJECTS
Fluid Mechanics Design Project
Collaborated with a team of 3 mechanical engineers, to design and assemble an apparatus to measure losses created by
different values. Developed project proposal as well as project timeline based on identified milestones. Researched,
designed and built testing apparatus. Collected and analyzed data gained from testing. Created guidelines and standards
for others based on test. Presented project findings to peers and faculty using PowerPoint.
Drive Cycle Project:
Calculated fuel efficiency of cars based on drive cycle data for city and highway conditions, using combination of
Microsoft excel and Matlab.
Lego Design:
Designed and dimension unique Lego Block based on given constraints using Solidworks. Reverse engineered south
face of Lego block piece, to perfectly fit north face of partner. Manufactured Lego block design using Bridgeport Mill.
Gyroscope Design:
Fabricated individual pieces and assembly based on given design constraints for Gyroscope using Solidworks. Worked
in a group of 4 engineers in order manufacture Gyroscope and test Gyroscope to meet operational time of 7 minutes
Fishing Line Tensile Test:
Project lead of 4 multi-disciplinary engineers that performed tensile test on 8lb rated fishing line. Developed project
proposal as well as project timeline based on identified milestones. Researched, designed and built testing apparatus.
Collected and analyzed data gained from testing. Presented project findings to peers and faculty using PowerPoint.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Engineering Intern/ Apprentice Construction Testing Service May 2015-December 2015
Charged with operating soils and aggregate testing for 1.3 Billion Dollar construction project. Collected and tested
various soil, aggregate, asphalt and organic samples for different projects. Collaborated with team of engineers, in order
to provide contractors with regular project updates. Assisted in the creation of standards, in order to minimize sample,
turn over time. Performed calibration and maintenance on various equipment.
