• Swiftly and correctly calculating dosages, dispensing medications, preparing prescription labels and filling
prescriptions for approval by pharmacists.
• Using the pharmacy’s proprietary computer program to access prescription information, including patient and
prescriber data, drug selection, prescription interpretation and insurance billing.
• Researching and resolving dosage conflicts, potentially harmful drug interactions, insurance issues and other
matters to ensure patient safety/wellness and build customer loyalty.
• Training technicians and introducing pharmacy interns to specific areas that the pharmacy's take care of at
VUMC.
• Scheduling technician assignments and assisting in re-developing the technician career ladder.
• Projects relating to more efficient technician workflow, different ways of decreasing wastage, and implementing

• Research medication stability, duration in specific fluids and temperature for several IV medications over the

• Designed and presented a Satellite Technician career ladder with power-point along with a compare/contrast
between performance tasks (surveying 4 specialty pharmacies).
• Formatted excel spreadsheets for new medication preparation guidelines.
• Designed and implemented the OR pharmacy medication preparation task sheet for the needed pharmacy par
levels.
• Revised the Satellite technician 90 day training check-off sheet.
• Formatted a quick-view description of tasks to be completed by 1st
shift and 2nd
shift.
• Created the CRRT (Dialysis) communication and quick-view scheduling table.
