1. Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your
FMP idea?
It wouldbe a podcastaroundthe current
organisationsanddifferent powers at play during
music production.
Why have youdecided to makeit? I havedecided tomake this podcastasit is
somethingthatI am passionateaboutandhave a
fair few people feeling the same way who I feel I
could connectwith.
What aboutyourproject makesit importantto
you?
This podcastis importantto me as it is an insight
into the discussionthatgo onaroundthe final
productionof a piece of music the amountof pure
ignorance the producersandtechnicians get is
troubling.
Outline someof the initial influences onyour
idea/work and somepotential research targets
(remember, research isn’t justa paperbased
activity)
The influence on my creative side is loosely
connected toRhett & links ear biscuits who have
discussionswith each other andoccasionally with
othersaboutspecific questionsthisIswhat I
would be exploring
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I want to havethe effect onmy audience to have
more people realise how muchwork actually goes
into creating a full blown piece of music suchas
the producerswho work onprojects such as
Drake’sChicago Demo Tapesand on Offset, Metro
BoominsWithoutwarning bothbeing under18
andmiscredited for their work.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject
[which productiontechniques/characteristicsare
youemploying?]
The moodof the podcastwill mostly be light
hearted as even thoughwe are critiquingthe
genre we work in we will be discussingthingswe
are passionateaboutandcertain thingswe
cannotchange aboutour day to day lives we have
bothvery muchcome to terms with this at this
point.
Why have youdecided to makeyour project in
this style?
I havedecided tomake this podcastin this way
because whilst we dohave genuine criticism of
where we work and what we dofor artists/labels
andgroupswe are notungrateful for the
opportunity towork in this field andwant to be
able to express bothsides.
