2. Teens: Female
-Teenage girls in film are conventionally present
as strong willed, independent.
-They dress in a casual way with very little
make up and are often presented as quite
innocent.
-Despite their nature, they always seem to need
the assistance of a male character.
-Even if the plot is based on them singularly ,
there is always a romantic situation intertwined
in the narrative.
3. -Male teenage characters are often
athletic, physically attractive, socially
popular, adventurous and romantic.
-Depending on their role in the film
they often act as a prize, or give their
affection to the humble character at
the end of the plot.
-Alike female teenagers it is their
physical features that makes them
seem above the other roles.
-They often where a casual t-shirt with
a sports jumper or jacket and mainly
where trainers.
4. -Women of this age group often act
as motherly figures.
-They are more often than not kind,
strong and a dependable figure for
the characters around them.
-Our female figure will be the nurse ,
Sandy.
-As she visits Ellie every week
without fail to care for her and she
discusses mother daughter topics
like relationships with her – thus
putting her in the place of Ellie’s
deceased mother.
5. -The male adults in teen films are
often father figures.
-They are presented as protective,
harsh and on some occasions
aggressive towards anyone that tries
to harm their family.
-These characters are key in teen
romances as they express the theme
of a fathers love and protection.
-Within my short film the father plays
a crucial role is part of the majority of
the narrative because of this.
