In all conjugations, imperfect verbs will have a “ba,” with the exception of
irregular verbs like sum.

spectabatis
3. How to translate
Use “was/were verbing,” “used to verb,” or “kept verbing.”
Examples:
Cenabat - “he/she/it was dining,” “he/she/it used to dine,” “he/she/it kept dining”
Pugnabam - “I was fighting,” “I used to fight,” “I kept fighting”
Spectabatis - “you all were watching,” “you used to watch,” “you kept watching”
