3. Our target audience
For our film production ’Remember Me’ the target audience is teenagers of the age of 15+ as
the film includes inappropriate language and ferocity. Some of the scenes may not be
approved by parents to be seen so therefore for the younger viewers it might be better if they
didn’t see the film. As well as there are a few quite intimate scenes which again might not be
approved by parents.
The reason why we thought our target audience would be 15+ is because many teenagers go
through the same situations as Cara and Daniel did, a typical romance that ends either good or
bad which in our case ended bad. However we are not trying to make a bad influence on
young teenagers as it includes violence and bad language. This is why the minimum age range
that we set for our film was 15+ as it’s appropriate for them and not for the younger teens.
Due to the ABC demographic states, ‘Remember Me’ would be an D/E category as in D
category it includes people who are semi-skilled and unskilled manual occupations and in E
category it involves people who are unemployed, students, casual workers and pensioners. The
reason why we choose these categories are because our film is relatable to these people
especially to students as it’s a teen sort of film. However anyone could watch our movie but
these people are likely to watch it.
