are treated at home shapes our adulthood.

about ourselves. Eg. If people don't like to hang out with you, you will have a low
confidence in yourself.
3. Environment: The place you live in is your environment, includes the
atmosphere and feelings related to the place. If you feel secured and
safe then that will positively affect your self-concept.
Community: we often compare ourselves with the people in our
communities and if these people are more successful and happier
than us, this is more likely to negatively impact our self- concept.
Religion/culture : your beliefs give you guidelines about how to live
daily, they also have an effect on how you feel about yourself
Media: it shows us what happens around the world,
other people's lifestyles, how they wear, their weight etc.
These factors often affect how we see ourselves, majority of the
time negatively because it has a different definition of beauty.

BEHAVIOUR

GOAL
ACHIEVEMEN
T.
WHAT IS BEHAVIOUR?
Behaviour is the way in which
one acts or conducts one's self,
especially towards others.
How does behaviour affect
goal achievement?
Actions that one decided to
take need to lead them one
step closer to the goal, eg time
management, abstaining from
sexual activities and making
objectives to reach their short
term goals.
If one engages in negative
activities such as drug abuse,
criminal activities and sexual
inter cause, that may lead
to health issues, unwanted
pregnancy and jail time. All
these causing one not to reach
their long term goals.
SEXUALITY : Is a natural part
of being human, affects one's
way of thinking and how they
see themselves and
relationships with others. It
includes sexual thoughts,
experiences, feelings, ideas
and values.

ABILITY TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS.?
• Having unprotected sexual inter cause may lead to unwanted pregnancy
and STI's causing one to focus more on their current situation and hold off
or even stop considering both their short term and long term goals.
• Engaging in sexual activity makes one feel mature and independent and
that will lead to them neglecting their goals and focusing on their sexual
life.
• Abstaining from sex however saves one from the known sexual
consequences allowing them to be able to focus on their goals and
creating a future they desire.
• Having safe sex can also help reduce the chances of health complications
and allows one to go about their lives and also allows them to reach their
health goals such as gym and sports.
