4. Career Opportunities, Cost and Travel
As with most other media and film related courses, the career opportunities range
from TV production, film production and other roles in the same industry.
The cost for this course is £9250, as with most other university courses in
this subject.
As for travel, as I would be moving away from home for university, it is 2-3
hours away from where I currently live, but it would most likely be around 10-20
minutes away from student accommodation.
7. Basic
Information
Oak House is a brand-new student
development that was opened in September
2021. This stylish building is in a prime
location for Leeds students, only a 10
minute-walk to University of Leeds and Leeds
Beckett University.
The development offers a combination of 9
high-spec studio flats, and 30 shared flats for
4 to 8 students. Its impressive communal
spaces include a large lounge area with space
for private and group study, and a stunning
outdoor terrace with seating.
8. Room
Information
The rooms at this accommodation are ensuite,
each with their own shower and toilet. The
rooms include a double bed as well as electric
heating.
The shared kitchen includes 2 fridge freezers, a
microwave and a washer dryer for the flat to
share.
The cost of this accommodation is £167 a
week, including utilities like WiFi and electric.
11. Basic Information
Mill Street is a modern development. Situated 5 minutes’ walk away from Leeds Conservatoire
and in the vibrant Quarry Hill area of the city center.
A ten-minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the city center and even closer to the beautiful
docks, Mill Street is not far from the wide variety of bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants that Leeds
has to offer.
Rooms are available to individuals and groups of friends in households' sizes from 3 to 6 beds.
Smart TVs and license provided in all communal open plan lounges. Both shared bathrooms or
en-suite rooms are available and a limited number of parking spaces for permit holders.
12. Room Information
The rooms at Mill Street are all en suite and include a double bed, desk space and
storage space. The bathroom includes a bath and shower, as well as sink and a
toilet.
There are laundry facilities on site and vending machines, as well as a fridge in
the kitchen area.
The rent for this accommodation is £144 a week, and includes WiFi, electric and
a TV license.
