1. 6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing
the product?
Whencreatingout openingsequence we use variousequipmentandprogramstohelp us.When
doingthiswe were all novicesmeaningthatwe hadto familiarize ourselveswiththe thingsthatwe
were goingtouse. To helpuse dothiswe
researchedaboutthe products/software we going
to use;to do thiswe usedGoogle.Thiswasvery
helpfull aswe were alreadyable touse Google;in
additiontothisfromresearchingwe foundourstep
by stepinstructiononhowtouse editingsoftware’sandequipment,thisallowedustolearnfastand
geton withthe task of constructingour product.Researchingalsohelpedconstructourproductas it
allowedouttogaininspirationforotherfootball hooliganmovies,whichallow usattractour
audience andmake itmore appealingforthem.
One of the mostimportantpiecesof equipment’s were
the tripodand camera,thisis because withoutacamera
we wouldn'tbe able tofilmouropeningsequence,and
withthe aidof a tripodwe capturedsteadyshotsto make
our openingsequence professional.Before we filmedwe
firstplayedaroundwiththe camera,bycreatingpractice
scenesitalloweduse tolearnwhateachbuttonon the
camera does,inadditiontothiswe learnhow to watch
footage thatwe had filmonthe camera, thismeantthat if
we didn'tlike the shotwe couldhave re filmedwhilewe were ata specificlocation. Whenfilming
the openingsequence we usedbothtripod andfree handtofilmshots.
Once we had finishedfilmingall the shotsthatwe needed,we usedaneditingprogramcalledSony
Vegaspro.This helpedconstruct ouropeningsequenceasitallowed uscropshotsif theywere too
long,addmusic tomake itmore interesting andaddsoundeffectstomake itmore realistic.Below is

inthe CCTV effect,thisclearlyshowsthatwe have
learnedhow touse thisprogram. Thiswasdone by
turningthisparticularpart of the openingsequence
grey and addingintext.The image below isthe CCTV
shot,thisshot helpsthe viewerestablishthatthe
characters are enteringanallyway.
To create our openingsequencewe have alsoused YouTube.Thishashelpedusinmanywaysfor
example,itsallowedussample soundtracks /soundeffects andchose a suitable one forthe
openingsequence thatwe have created. Inadditiontothisithas allowedustowatch otherfootball
hooliganmovies,thisgave usanunderstandingof how toconstruct the openingsequence. Another
wayin whichYouTube hashelpedme isthatit allowedme topublishvideosonmyblog.
