2. Laptop
• A Laptop computer is a portable personal
computer with a clamshell form factor, suitable
for mobile use. laptop has most of the same
components as a desktop computer, including
a display, a keyboard, a pointing device such as
a touchpad (also known as a track pad) and/or
a point stick, and speakers into a single unit. A
laptop is powered by main electricity via an AC
Adapter and can be used away from an outlet
using a rechargeable battery

11. Hard drive
• Laptops don’t have the room for the full sized
3 ½ hard drives that desktop computers use.
• Instead , they use a hard drive with a 2 ½
form factor factor.
• These drives share the same controller as
desktop computers, however, they use small
connectors.

• Optical drives on laptops are necessary
than their counter parts as well.

20. Mini PCI
• Mini peripheral component interconnect.
• It is a smaller version of PCI and is designed
primarily for laptops.
• It is functionally identical to the PCI version 2.2.
• It’s a 32 bit, 33 Mhz bus with 3.3 V powered
21. Mini PCIe
• They are basically Express cards without
the external cover.
• They are 52-pin edge connector
