If we desire a societal change foremost we have to change
• Illiteracy leads to ignorance.
• Ignorance leads to immorality.
• Immorality leads to poverty
• Poverty leads to suppression of unprivileged people
His works included eradication of untouchability, castesim, empowerment of women and
reform of Hindu family life. In his book Gulamgiri his poem reads
Lack of education leads to lack of wisdom which leads to lack of morals, which leads to
poverty, which leads to oppression of lower classes, leads to bad state of society, what state
of society is seen if illiteracy prevails.
These were the consequences of illiteracy in the society was said by Jyothi Rao Phule.
That is why unprivileged should be educated but his dreams are still to be cherished.
Patriotic feeling was not known to all ancestor during that time Jyothi Bai said that
‘Patriotism is not our equals as animals’ in his book Gulamgiri.
