7. ASHA DAAN
Project Budget – INR 0.70 Cr
Project Sector – Preventive Health, Water and
Sanitation
Project Location – Mumbai
Home for abandoned and differently-abled children,
HIV-positive patients and destitute people.
Initiative began in 1976
HUL takes care of over 400 infants, destitute men
and women and HIV-positive patients at Asha Daan.
8. PROMOTING NUTRITION & HYGIENE
Project Budget – 7.68 Cr
Project Sector - Eradication of Hunger, Poverty,
Malnutrition
Nutrition as a focus area for CSR was included in
the Company’s policy from 1st April, 2020
About 93,000 meals kits containing staples,
pulses, cooking oil and spices were distributed for
use by the families.
9. PROJECT - SANJEEVANI
Project Budget - INR 0.61 Cr
Project Sector – Preventative Healthcare, water
and Sanitation
Project Location – Tinsukia, Assam
HUL runs a free mobile medical service camp
‘Sanjeevani’ for the local community near Doom
Dooma factory in Assam.
More than 3,57,828 patients have been treated in
these service camps since its inception in 2003.
10. PROJECT - SHAKTI
Project Budget – INR 57.29 Cr
Project Sector - Education, Employability and
Livelihoods Enhancement
It started in 2001, Shakti has already been extended to
about 80,000 villages in 15 states.
It aims to financially empower and provide livelihood
opportunities to women in rural India.
HUL has a team of Rural Sales Promoters (RSPs)
Project Shakti has nearly 1,36,000 Shakti Entrepreneurs
whom they call ‘Shakti Ammas’.
11. SWACHH AADAT SWACHH BHARAT
Project Budget – INR 41.34 Cr
Project Sector - Preventive Healthcare, Water and
Sanitation
It is in line with the Government of India’s Swachh
Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission
4,000 employees from 25 factories of HUL - role of
Swachhata Doots and educate their communities to adopt
better WASH habits.
12. PROJECT - PRABHAT
Project Budget – INR 7.07 Cr
Project Sector – Rural Development
Prabhat is HUL’s USLP-linked programme.
It has directly benefited over 4.5 million.
More than 5,000 HUL employee volunteers participated
in the volunteering activities under Project Prabhat in the
last seven years.
