What is HRM ?
WHat is HRM(Human resource management)
● HRM is a staff functions. A "staff function" supports the organization with
specialized advisory and support functions. Human Resource
Management focuses on principles, methods, and technologies that are
used to improve the productivity of an organization
WHat is HRM(Human resource management)
Human Resource Management, or HRM, is the practice of managing people to
achieve better performance. optimizing company performance through better
management of human resources.
Human Resources are all the people that in one capacity or another work for
or contribute to an organization.
HR functions and roles
There are several different focus areas in Human Resources:
● Recruiting and staffing
● Training and learning development
● Career development & Succession Planning
● Performance Management
● Compensation and benefits
● Labour and employee relations
● Employee Engagement
● Talent Management
● Organisation development
Key responsibilities and tasks in Human Resources
❏ Address concerns expressed by the employees
❏ Hire top talent
❏ Create career development programmes
❏ Evaluate individual and overall work performance
❏ Implement reward systems
❏ Solve conflicts and other issues

❏ Design and evaluate strategies to increase the
retention of personnel
❏ Build and maintain the company’s culture
❏ Create and implement programmes that reflect
the core values of the organisation
❏ Provide Advice and guidance to People and help
them in identifying strength & weakness.
