How a contents page evolved from basic to advanced using Photoshop features
1. Looking back at your preliminary
task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it to
the full product?
Contents Page progression
2. Preliminary Task
This is a basic almost plan like page
and has no effects or skills from
Photoshop
3. Preliminary to One
My first contents page has much more advanced fonts and has some of the
features of a contents page like a masthead, a date and an issue number
4. One to Two
My second contents page has more features like pictures for an article and
competition I put these on because to have pictures with articles is a
convention music magazines and it informs the audience quickly. I also
added page numbers to the pictures so the reader knows where to look
without actually having to read the contents
5. Two to Three
My third contents page has more things on like the
advertisement for tours and the promotions for competitions,
I put these there so readers would know they have freebies
and it also another way to gain readers as some people could
pick up the magazine to look inside and if they see that there
are freebies they are more likely to buy it
6. Three to Four
In my fourth contents page I added a black
background, red text and a yellow border to my
editor's message so it would stand out more on
the page this also makes the text easier to read
7. Four to Five
In my fifth contents page I used the text effect stroke on the headings of my contents and on
my “tours” in the bottom right. I did this to make them easier to read and it marks them out
as clearly being headings
8. Five to Six/Final Product
My final product is just neatened up from my fifth version as I changed the border to
outer border on the editors message to make it easier to read and so it stands out more
and I moved text away from the edges of the page so none is lost in printing
9. What I have learned
In the creation of this product I have learnt how to use text effects to make text
stand out more as well as learning how to create borders on shapes
